The company contacted me on whatsapp regarding online form filling work and asked for my id after which I sent a copy of my voter's id. They then sent username and password and called me on whatsapp and asked me to login while continuing on the whatsapp call.
When I logged in, they asked me to write my name in a blank box which had appeared. After I wrote my name, they sent a contract on my email id stating that I would have to pay if I didn't complete the work.
I then understood that it was a scam and hence immediately replied on their email id that I was not interested and hadn't entered any contract with their company. I didn't use their portal and didn't do any work thereon on their portal.
However, now they have sent an email and are threatening to take legal action against me if I don't pay them 5900/- rupees.
Please help.
