Earlier this year...on March 16th. i purchased 3 sarees from Shatika. By the time I received the post it was maybe around March24th or something because I received an email from them about the shipment on Mar 21st.
Of them one saree...Kinnara thread work Kota saree..was totally damaged. The threads all along the border were pulled out.
I had been sick during the time..getting a biopsy done for breast cancer. So, it was April 4th by the time I could write an email to them about the condition of the saree and asked it to be returned.
First they write to me saying that it is normal for thread work sarees to look like that...When I persisted..They sent me a link to their policies saying I cannot claim anything now since i had passed the deadline for such claims. I wanted to make the consumers aware of such practices of the company and file a formal complaint against the company about this. In the form of an internet company...these companies are boldly passing off any damaged/substandard/bad product to the consumers without any fear of being held responsible. They do not have any address listed on their website except a phone number.
