I am visiting bangalore from mumbai and was at shree service station earlier today to fill petrol in my relatives (Who is a senior citizen) car. The attendant earlier pretended that he did not understand english. I told him to do a full tank.in a moment, the amount showed as rs 500 and there was no movement on the quantity meter. When i enquired, they explained that they have only filled for rs 500. And this happened real quick, almost in a split second! When told that i had requested for a full tank, they then went about filling it up. This time, both the quantity and the amount meters moved. The total bill i paid (Inclusive of the rs 500) for a full tank was rs 2900. I was later told that this car (Honda city) typically gets full up in about rs 2400. Later, when i offered a card payment, the attendants, who were earlier feigning complete ignorance of english, seemed both to understand and reply to me fine in english. Later i found out from my relative that this petrol pump has a terrible reputation for overcharging through unethical means and that he never goes there. This is akin to daylight robbery. Absolutely shocking. Was this information helpful? |
