Dear Sir/ Madam,
My name is Sachin Das from Kolkata, India. I am a 33-year-old male working as an accountant. I had applied for an online part-time job on 9th Jan 2024 on the Quickr Jobs Website for Data Entry jobs for working in my free time 2-3 hours a day. I was contacted by a lady from Spice Work Pvt. Ltd. I was asked for my Aadhaar card and signature, after which they assigned me to file 660 forms within 7 days and gave me a contract agreement which I had not signed after reading, since, I was in office and did not get time to read the contract agreement. I was working in my office and did not have much time to look into the job detail. After coming home the same day, in the evening I found that the work was too much and could not be completed by me in the stipulated time. I texted immediately on the 9th of Jan, 2024 evening them requesting to cancel my work since, I gauged that it would not be possible for me to complete the work within stipulated time.
Now, they are claiming and demanding that I pay RS. 25000 (Penalty fees) and are threatening me with fraud and other sections of the Indian Contract Act and IPC. I have not received any money from them and nothing is due from me to them for which they had paid me and have not committed any fraud from my end. Please help and kindly take appropriate action against these fraud people.
The email address from which they have emailed me intimating the legal notice is riyasingh.[protected]@gmail.com and the number from which I had received the call for the job is +91-[protected]. Was this information helpful? |
