I Purchased a Policy No. : P/700002/01/2017/070510 PERIOD OF INSURANCE
FROM : 15/01/2017 TO : Midnight Of 14/01/2018.
I renewed the policy Before expiry of the Policy No. : P/700002/01/2017/070510 Cheque No. 203538 dated 05/01/2018 for Rs. 15488/- (Rs. Fifteen thousand four hundred eighty eight only) Axis Bank Ltd., the cheque was dishonoured due to debit freeze on my account due to KYC issue .
I received an email dated 22nd January 2018 from PolicyBazaar with subject as "Congratulations! Your health insurance policy has been issued. Ref No.: 54751913" and sent a soft copy of the Policy.
Dishonoured cheque No. 203538 was returned to me on 16th January 2018 from Star Health Allied Insurance, Unit No.304, Gurgaon and recieved by me on 24th January 2018
and Meanwhile Policy No. : P/161130/01/2018/012236 Period of insurance : 15/01/2018 TO : Midnight of 14/01/2019 was issued against the above said cheque soft copy and hard copy of the policy was delivered to me by Star Health Insurance .
where as now in 2019 I came to know that the policy was cancelled by STAR HEALTH INSURANCE due to non clearence of cheque.
When I contacted Star Health Insurance regarding the receipt of dishonoured cheque and how to renew the policy they guided me to make the payment online and sent an email link for payment of premium. I made the payment of Rs. 15488/- from AXIS BANK, payment ref.no.INB/[protected]/PAYU.IN/STARHEALTH INSURANCE on 24th January 2018. And received information from Star Health Insurance that the same Policy No. P/161130/01/2018/012236 is continued with same insurance period .
even an e-mail dated 26th January 2018 have been received from Star Health Insurance with subject as "Thank you for choosing Star Health. Your policy number is P/161130/01/2018/012236" and the soft copy of the policy was attached with this mail on 26th January 2018.
Now In January 2019 when I tried renewal of my policy NO. : P/161130/01/2018/012236
I came to know that the policy was cancelled due to non clearence(DISHONOUR) of cheque in january 2018 and I was not insured during the period january 2018 to january 2019.
I enquired from Star Health Insurance regarding the Online Payment of Rs. 15488/- made on 24th January 2018 to Star Health Insurance .
Grievance Redressal Officer asked for some details such as Bank Statement showing the payment transferred to star Health Insurance . they allotted a grievance tracking No. SR[protected] on 07th Feb2019 and replied that the complaint will be resolved within 15 days.I sent reminder for the same so many times .
on 1st March 2019 received an email showing that the policy is renewed with Renewal Endorsement No. P/161130/01/2018/023790 Period of insurance : 25/01/2018 Midnight of 24/01/2019 .
This policy is already expired on 24th January 2019 and being sent to me on 1st March 2019 .
I have never received any cumminaction from Star Health Insurance regarding Cancellation of Policy No. P/161130/01/2018/012236 and renewal with policy no. P/161130/01/2018/023790.
No soft copy or any mail have been delivered by Star Health Insurance
during january 2018 to january 2019 regarding issuance of new policy which have been sent to me on 01st March 2019.

and the copy of the policy was attached with this mail on 26th January 2019, where as according to Star Health Insurance the new Policy No. P/161130/01/2018/023790 was in force from Period of insurance : 25/01/2018 Midnight of 24/01/2019
I never received any information from Star Health Insurance in the year of Insurance. and I was under effect that I am insured with Star Health Insurance for a period 15/01/2018 TO : Midnight of 14/01/2019.
Demand :
I am very much upset with the behaviour of the Star Health Insurance, how they manage all the documents . They issued a past dated Policy Policy No. P/161130/01/2018/023790 was in force from Period of insurance : 25/01/2018 Midnight of 24/01/2019 to square up my amount of Rs. 15488/- in present date i.e., 01st march 2019 .
Please cancel the above new policy and refund my amount of Rs. 15488/-.
