My name is khirod choudhary i am leaving in flat no 302, vastushree building yashwant nagar, talegaon dabhade, near talegaon rly station pune -410507, i purchase this flat in 2012. Me and my brother statying in the flat after purchase as we both r working and batchelor, after our job we come to home in the evening only. Last year in the month of april one person from talegaon nagar parisad came to our house with house tax bill of rupees more then 80, 000 and he telling that if you are not going to pay immediately then he gonna locked the room, any how i manged 25000 rupees and paid. This year on 21st jan 2017 when i go to office i got a bill of rupees more then 122000 which is really shocking to us. Instead of residential bill they make commercial bill and giving the reason that i given flat on rent thats why this much bills come but that is totally wrong from the day i purchased the house me and my brother staying over there. Kindly please help me in this regards, how can i pay this much of house tax sir.

I am commenting this complaint as I am suffering from same problem
I bought flat in Talegaon in 2015. For first 2 years I was getting corporation tax bill of ~3000, which seems OK & I paid.
After that, suddenly I started receiving tax bills of ~16000. I discussed this with neighbours & got to know that corporation would like to have share in the rental income. This is unethical. Till date I have not paid bills which is now accumulated to ~60000.
We need legal guidance on this.
