Hi, I am one employee of Tech Mahindra with base location as Electronic City, Bangalore. However, due to nationwide pandemic (Covid 19), currently I am at my native place ( Near to Kolkata, West Bengal). I have submitted my resignation on 24th March and my last working day is 21st June. All I want is to submit my office laptop, charger and ID card to the nearest TECHM office, i.e. Kolkata office. However, my HR is strictly saying that is not possible, I need to submit those to Bangalore office only. When I asked for sending those via courier, he told that is possible, however if anything happened with laptop because of courier company, that also I need to pay. After sending those items through courier, it is not possible for me to check whether something is happening with it or not. Net net, only 1 option is there for me, I need to go down to Bangalore fro Kolkata avoiding the lockdown to submit my office belongings. Is this the support TECHM provides to employees during pandemic?
Please note: When I joined the company, that time I received the laptop from Bangalore office. But, during pandemic only, that laptop got some technical issue, I visited Kolkata office and they took that laptop and provided one stand by laptop in replace of that.
So, is it like I need to submit this laptop to Bangalore office now just because I have resigned?
