[Resolved] The Veritas Career Solutions — Defrauded of Rs 10880 for non existant job offer

I had received a mail from Synmeta mail id that my profile has been shortlisted for roles in US. They asked me to contact their business partner Veritas. Veritas told me to pay $160 or INR10880 as part of background check fees. Today morning (01/02/2017), I transferred the sum of Rs 10880 to their Axis Bank, Mohali Phase 7 branch. Their a/c no is [protected]. After transferring the amount, they have stopped picking their calls. Their landline does not exist. Which is when I panicked. I see others too have been duped by this same company. Request you to please please recover my money

I have received a call from Veritas wherein they promised to arrange an interview for me for the money I have paid

Updated by susangeorge Ignore that my complaint has been resolved. Now the company has started threathening me for complaining against them and they refuse to pick my calls or refund my money

Updated by susangeorge This is a total fraud con company. They use threats and sweetalk alternatively to keep their victims under control. I have lost my hard earned money through this fraud company. A police case has been registered. Request this consumer forum to please take strict action and recover my money
