On 24th April 2023, I booked my trip from Chennai airport to chennai central railway station and the trip showed Rs. 525 fare. I chose payment mode as UPI as I was not carrying cash, but as soon as the ride ended the Uber driver - Lakshmi Lenin asked me to pay directly to him by showing a gpay QR code. When asked about the app showing the Rs.525 due amount he said it will be refunded. Trusting that I had paid him directly but my account still shows that the amount is unpaid for this trip. Obvious that I can't pay double fare for the same trip, so I ask Uber to take quick action and resolve this.
I did complaint to Uber but they are saying they can't make any adjustments to the amount showing in app, but isn't it the responsibility of the Uber to make sure the drivers are doing such scams?
