[Resolved]  Government of India and Petroleum Companies — Dual Pricing and Price discrimination between Aadhar seeded and non seeded consumers

Address: Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala

On the advice of the Union Government, many an LPG Consumer linked their Aadhar Number with their LPG supply and Bank Accounts and became Cash Transfer Compliant (CTC) Consumers. Many others hesitated to comply with the advice of the Government for one reason or the other and they remain Non Cash Transfer Compliant (NCTC) Consumers. Those who did not comply with the advice of the Government are luckier than the others for the simple reason that they are getting LPG supply at Rs.444.50/14.2 Kg Cylinder, whereas those CTC Consumers are getting a Cylinder of LPG at Rs.1055.03 as on the 9th October 2013 at Thiruvananthapuram. He has to shell out Rs.610.53/ Cylinder LPG as against Rs.444.50 by the non-Aadhar linked ones. Of course, the CTC Consumer is getting a subsidy of Rs.513.54/ Cylinder. Yet the CTC Consumers are made to pay Rs.96.99 (610.53-513.54=96.99) more over the NCTC Consumers. This is clear dual pricing and price discrimination. Government are punishing those who complied with the Government advice. This sort of punishing those citizens heeding the advice of the Government by double pricing practice should be stopped forthwith.
