[Resolved]  PS TOLL ROAD PVT LTD,KHED SHIVAPUR TOLL PLAZA,NH 4 — IMPOSING TOLL ON SERVING ARMED PERSONALS

Dear Sir,

1. The toll tax plaza at khed shivapur on NH4 is under PS TOLL ROAD PVT LTD

2. The toll authorities are imposing toll on serving personnels of Army. I was travelling in own vehicle and was passing via the above mentioned toll

where the toll manager has charged toll tax refusing to accept the I Card produced.

3. As Section 3(a) of the Indian Tolls (Army & Air Force) Act, 1901, provides for toll tax exemption on all public or private roads and bridges in India to officers and men of the regular forces whether they are on duty or not. This toll plaza is charging many serving persons claiming that it comes under BOT.The Act also has an overriding clause, which causes it to override all other Acts or directions by any legislature or central or state government in India which includes BOT also.

4. I humbly request you to take an appropriate action against it so that no other soldiers get humiliated in future.
