Sir, I want to fetch your kind attention toward such a great food restaurant for whom no Indians act apply on him and he is the owner of his own mind, according to him consumer act is mean for him and he is not bound to obey that act. In fact we have visited Shirdi on 31/08/2013, we stepped in the above mentioned restaurant and we ordered some items to waiter as per our choice, when we received bill on our table, we were shocked to note that AQUAFINA Mineral water was charged Rs 25 instead of its MRP Rs 18, we objected this point on counter.we are very conscious about our consumer rights and what response was given to us that is a sound slap on our system, our administration, our Ministry of consumer affairs, our media advertisements on which a huge money is being spent to aware consumer.
As I already explained that the owner/Representative not only laughed but he clearly said that he openly charged and no one can ask them about it from administration, however he was so confident that he gave us in written that he is charging Rs 25 of the product having MRP Rs 18. Our total bill was Rs 730 in which there were 3 bottles of AQUAFINA. It was a big restaurant but working without VAT registration and without any Service Tax Registration. Now I request you to look into the mater at earliest and to direct your officials to take a severe action against the said shopkeeper so that he will not able to disobey consumer act in future.
