My both the above daughters after their marriage moved out of Coimbatore and wanted to close the above SB Accounts and I am 60 years old with high BP, retired from a multinational group in Marketing. On behalf of them, when I approached the branch (saibaba colony), the officer, Mr Prashant and another woman officer told me that they should come in person. The Manager also then vouched the same and finally agreed to send their request letter with all documents (unused cheque leaves, debit card) through courier and not to bring in person by me, and accordingly it was acknowledged by them on 10.10.18. When I went to the branch on 22.10.18, no action was taken and Mr Prashant first told me that they did not receive and after showing the proof (which he only signed), he said, he would search... after two / three visits in the next two days, nothing happened and said one woman staff is on leave and hence could not see but agreed to process based on scan copy of the letters sent and accordingly it was given to them on 29th Oct 2018 (which in my opinion is totally incorrect as how they can process without original letters and signatures!!) and told me that they will not transfer thru neft to their accounts but only give pay orders and the woman officer told me that it would take 20 minutes but when I went after 2 hours nothing has happened and the pay order request forms were lying on Prashanth's table who was busy in seeing some loan documents, etc and made me to wait patiently for 45 minutes but did nothing and told me to be patient. Since it was around lunch time, I told him to give them immediately but he refused when I approached the BM, he further abused me and joined the officer saying"Sala, do not give him in hand and send through regd post with ack due to the same address" and wantedly also issued the joint account pay order in both the names... Then I lost my temper and shouted but the manager was saying, " I am not their client, etc"... There was no loan or never anyone asked us during any time for any deposit, and my Pan cibil rating is 840 out of 900! This branch is always a sleepy with big office space without any much activities and hardly bothered the customers. Even now my daughters have good balance in their SB Accounts in other banks and I am also currently doing a business of engineering product. They never felt sorry for their delay or misplacing the orignal letters and the documents sent along with them, nor making unnecessarily penalising a customer for no fault of him, when our PM Modiji wants 10 lacs to 1 crore loan to be disbursed in 59 minutes!!! I want adequate compensation for the delay and the ill treatment from both of them, and both of them think, people come with Dhoti are fools, etc... I can speak fluent Hindi which both of them belong.. and I worked in north knowing the language unlike these people! Was this information helpful? |
