Vodafone India — my number not working in usa (isd) roaming

Address: 560037

I am using my prepaid vodafone number (+[protected] from 2015 or so. I have traveled first time to usa at end of dec 2016.

As per the suggestions from vodafone customer care i have updated my mobile settings and connected to local network and started receiving calls and text messages.

I have recharged couple of times to maintain my balance.

I have not noticed from how long, suddenly it is stopped working i. E. Not connecting to local network.

I have mailed vodafone customer care for help. Everytime i will get response will sort out the issue and finally informed to provide balance to my mobile 250/- minimum to get service.

I have raised couple of questions, out of which is the number still active?

Vodafone care replied saying it is active and will work fine if recharged for 250/- rs.

I have done the recharge of 500/- rs and checked it is not working so i asked my father to visit vodafone store and we found out that number is assigned to some other person.

So how can i get that number back assign to me?
If not, how will i get my 500/- rs back to me?

Note: i have all the proofs of conversation and can provide if required.

Thanks

Hi Mahesh,

Thanks for update,

I am keeping on asking / seeking help right from the first mail which i have sent to you guys, but every time some other person ( from your team i.e. Sukanya, Divya, Mahesh, Mohan etc) keep sending mails with same mail format only changing the names in the format without addressing the actual Issue.

I have raised my concern, is this number active and still available on my name, every time i got response saying recharge Rs. 250/- and will get activated.

After digging my own, sending some person to Vodafone store and with in 5 minutes, I found out that Vodafone Number is assigned to someone and it is not there on my name.

I want to ask you guys, why you not able to find from your side as mails are getting exchanged from last few weeks. (Is that 3 to 4 weeks is not enough to find / sort out the issue) which is done in 5 minutes in store?

And in your mail you are asking transfer details, I have provided in my previous mail and for that mail only you have replied to my mail saying provide me transaction details and it is very surprising to me.

anyway i am providing the required details and also raised complaint in consumercomplaints.in.

I want amount to refund to Vodafone Number +91 xxxxxxxxxx and transaction details are as below,
"Dear Customer,

Hi Team,

I have checked just now in Vodafone store, Number[protected] has assigned to some other person "Praveen" and using by other person. How can VodafoneCare team not able to find this from last 2 weeks?

1. I have asked couple of times, is this Number active on my Name?

Vodafone Care: Team responded saying it is Active and needs to be charged 250/- Rs minimum to work.

Based on the vodafone Care, support / guidance I have made recharge of 500/- Rs?, Now I have found out that SIM (Number[protected] already assigned to someone else. So

1. How will I get back my amount 500/- Rs?

2. If did not got, is this amount will be refunded from Vodafone?

3. Is this number will be activated back on my Name?

Please do address my above queries ASAP.
