Vodafone India — Non-closure of number and continuous undue billing

I had requested for disconnecting my number [protected] in December. I was not informed about any submission of documents. I continued to receive bills from December to February. I received a demand notice in February seeking payment of bills for services that I have not used and after I requested disconnection. A customer care executive named Dheeraj called and agreed for settlement of the bill on payment of Rs. 1000. He assured I will receive a mail confirming the settlement pursuant to which I could make the payment, submit the required documents and disconnect the number. I am still awaiting his mail. Also Vodafone has sent another bill for February. I have called a lot of times on the customer care and sent various mails to no avail.
