This is to bring to your kind notice that i, pratiksha rawat, have purchased two voltas air conditioners from amazon. The first air conditioner is a voltas 1.5 ton window ac having serial no. 4011234b18dc06430 and was purchased on 09.06.2018. The second air conditioner is a voltas 0.75 ton window ac having serial no. [protected] and was purchased on 05.06.2018. At the time of purchase of both the voltas air conditioners, the amazon was offering five year extended warranty on every part due to which i placed both the orders within the offer period.

As required by the company, i installed the products from voltas authorised executive person and availed two free warranty services (Both wet and dry) in the first year. I also registered the product for the five year extended warranty with voltas company within seven days of purchase through mail and the same was confirmed by the company.

Few days back, one of my ac stopped cooling after which i registered the complaint in the voltas for repair of my ac under warranty. My repair request under warranty was denied by the voltas personnel on the ground that i failed to perform the wet service of the ac in the second year. Further they said that my extended warranty has been terminated due to the same ground.

I would like to bring this to your notice that i did not contacted the voltas for wet service due to the corona-virus outbreak in the country. It was not possible for me to contact the voltas person for performing wet service on my ac before june 2020 when the whole country was in lockdown. The voltas person is not accepting the force majeure clause that came into the picture because of the covid 19.

I request you to consider both my products to be under warranty as it was not at all possible for me to comply to the extended warranty conditions required by the voltas in the pandemic situation. Kindly do the needful as soon as possible.
