Dear friends,
This is to inform you that the connection with data card number

Was surrendered on 14 aug 2017. The surrender was done after contacting customer care no [protected] on 14 aug and intimating them that the connection is no more required due to personal reasons.
I was advised that the cancellation request can be considered only on payment of dues existing at the time of surrender.
On enquiry, i was advised that the charges till that time amounted to rs 710/-
The dues were paid at 1248 hrs on 14 aug 17 through paytm - pay order no [protected] and wallet transaction id no [protected].
Later i was contacted by somebody claiming to be from mts, enquiring as to why i want cancellation of my connection. I politely said that the present tariff does not suit me.
However i was shocked to find another bill on the same data card for the next month. I contacted mts customer care immediately on 02 sep at 1300 hrs (Apprximately) and intimated that the connection was cancelled and that the device has not been in use right from 14 aug or before. I had insisted on talking to a supervisor and with a lot of persuasion spoke to a person who identified himself as the supervisor. He promised to attend to the case immediately.
Complaint was registered vide 5116298 at 1331 hrs on 02 sep 17.
On 06 sep 17, i received a message from mts intimating that my request has been processed, which i understood as a confirmation of cancellation of mts connection.
However, there after, i was being continuously harassed through phone calls intimating that i have not paid my bills. I had in many cases intimated that i am no more a customer of mts. But the harassment persisted.
I received a mobile message intimating that a legal notice which was sent to my residence through speed post was not delivered. (The reasons were not given as to why it was not delivered). The message also had a final part which said "please ignore".
The message had a mobile number of the legal cell to which i was advised to get in touch with.
A few days later i was handed a simple open letter in malayalam (With heading in malayalam meaning "default on payment of dues", which could be read by any one who saw the letter, intimating that i have not paid my dues. The letter had no address of the originator and no signature. The letterhad only a heading "mts communication limited" but nothing more to indicate that it was issued from a legal office.
I contacted a person at mobile no [protected] at 1925 hrs (Apprx) on 27 oct 17. On request he revealed his name as mr sijo. I informed him about the entire history of surrender of data card. He was positive and said that there would be no charges if the card was not used as stated by me. I also briefly mentioned to him that the harassment has made my blood pressure go up and that my health was affected. I also said that i had always paid all my bills of any service within stipulated time with no fines or additional charges and this case was really a cooked up one with intent to defame a retired air force officer and a senior citizen and i would be compelled to claim damages and report the matter to trai etc.
The next day i received a call from a lady from mts legal department asking if i would be paying the dues. I said i have no dues pending against me and so i will not be paying.
I thought that the case was closed.
However, i received the mail below indicating that there is an amount pending against me.
I would like to stand by the honest and fearless stand of a soldier that there are no dues pending against me and that the whole case has been built up for unlawful gains by mts even resorting to illegal means of terrorising and blckmailing even senior citizen to achieve their unlawful gains.
I will request you to give a reply to this letter within 7 days failing which i will not have any other means but to seek legal advise and claim damages. Damages due injury and for defaming me as a defaulter.
