With reference to the aforementioned Customer ID, I'd like to emphasize something that is critical from a legal standpoint. I was about to purchase a subscription from a very reputable German house day before. While attempting to do so with my master debit card, the purchase was declined twice in a row due to a technical issue. Even so, I was unable to enter my card's secret code, and the Mastercard platform's onscreen wizard for entering the OTP was also unavailable. I also received SMS and email alerts from Yesbank regarding these failures. Following that, I contacted the seller to inquire about the situation, and they confirmed that they had not been paid. However, each time, my account was debited by INR 97.99. I am inquiring as to how, in the absence of my OTP and secret code, these amounts remained deducted from my S/A, indicating that your banking system is not secure for customers.
If this occurs in a coercive manner, I must conclude that Yesbank is in violation of the Most Recent Master Direction on Digital Payment Security Controls (RBI/2020-21/74 DoS.CO.CSITE.SEC.No.1852/31.01.015/2020-21 Dt:February 18, 2021).
Till date I got no satisfied answer from the desk of Yesbank or no refund was made to my bank account.
