I got my samsung handest insurance purchased with relation ship number 6026445 and membership id [protected], plan name:airtel secure plan (Rs.40000), imei no./serial no.:[protected] validity from 02/01/2019 - 01/01/2020
I submitted my claim of damage on 23rd jan 2019 and it uploaded the images as well. They varified and arranged a pick up. After that they rejected the claim mentioning that the imei number on the back panel is mismatch.
Prior to submitting the claim, this handset visited under warranty repair and was collected from authorised samsung service center on 25th dec 2018.
I was shocked on my claim rejection as the handset was not opened or handled between visiting samsung service on 25th dec 2018 and submitting to airtel secure on 23rd jan. I questioned thier verification and they returned my handset. To my surprise after returning it had the display blank so that i could not challenge on the basis of imei number visible on display.
However, on repeated follow up and pleading they demanded to prove my point by submitting a letter of verification from samsung authorised service center. I submitted the letter (Also attached for your reference) and they kept on mentioning that they are in process of consideration. They finally rejected again saying the same old story of mismatch in imei number finally on 19th feb 2019 and they are not willing to discuss nor give letter or basis of rejection. It is their fault that they completely turned my broken display blank and now rejecting my claim on irrelvant excuse of imei mismatch.
