Subject: Complaint Regarding Misleading Information and Service Issues with Airtel Xstream Box

I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding my recent experience with your Airtel Xstream Box service. The entire process, from purchasing the box to its activation and usage, has been extremely frustrating and misleading.
The Issues:
Persistent Marketing Pressure:
For weeks, I received constant messages on WhatsApp from Airtel, encouraging me to purchase the Airtel Xstream Box.
Misleading Sales Information:
Before making the purchase, I specifically asked the sales representative multiple times if YouTube would work on the Xstream Box without recharging the plan. I was assured each time that it would. The technician who installed the box also confirmed this and even provided his personal number for assistance.
Delayed Activation:
After I paid ₹1900 on the day of installation, it took three days to activate the service. Despite this delay, no extension was added to my plan to compensate for the lost time.
YouTube Access Suspended:
When my plan ended, YouTube stopped working, and I was informed that my box had been suspended due to low balance. This contradicts the assurances provided by your salesperson and technician.
Lack of Clear Terms and Conditions:
Upon raising this issue with the salesperson, I was told that it was mentioned in Airtel’s terms and conditions that YouTube would not work without a recharge. However, the PDF order bill provided to me contained no such terms or conditions.
My Expectations:
I feel cheated and misled by your company’s representatives, and I request the following actions:
Refund: I demand a refund for the ₹1900 paid for the Airtel Xstream Box, as the product does not meet the expectations set by your sales team.
Clarification of Policies: Airtel should provide transparent and clear terms and conditions to all customers upfront to avoid such issues in the future.
Accountability: Your sales team and technicians should be held accountable for providing misleading information.
This entire experience has left me deeply dissatisfied with Airtel’s service and approach. I urge you to resolve this matter promptly and provide a satisfactory response within 7 days
