Subject: Consistent issues with Postpaid services - Inaction from Airtel.
Hi,
This email is being sent with greatest of pain dealing with the unprofessional nature of Airtel Customer care executives and unresolved issues that are raised. I am in Professional services business myself and I have never lead such an unprofessional team that deals with customers the way I am dealt with.
I am a postpaid customer of Airtel with number [protected].
I have being making calls and visiting Airtel certers in Vijayawada and Chennai to get the following issues resolved:
1. False/Wrong charges: I requested roaming in the month of May 2015 for 2 of the child numbers ([protected] and [protected]) attached to my primary number [protected]. I called 121 in the first week of June to deactivate roaming for both of them effective from June 17/19 cycle. It was not done. I noticed it and went to Airtel office in Vijayawada to complain. They asked me to call 121 and complain. I did that on Aug 04, 2015 to deactivate as per my original request in June 1st week. I got a complaint number as well[protected]. Nothing was done and I got a bill for the same in August also. In total, for two months, for both the numbers I was charged (75*2*2=300 + Taxes). I want that to be returned to me.
2. Signal Issues: I have severe signal issues while in roaming in Chennai. I complained a lot of times about it to Airtel. Nothing is done. Its been few months since I have been facing this in Chennai (I work in Chennai). I gave specific areas (Siruseri - SIPCOT IT Park, Padur and Karapakkam in CHennai). No improvement. On top of this,
3. Billing issues: I have always faced CALL DROPS. If a call drops due to signal, I am charged for a full minute, when the call was probably for a few seconds!!! Customer care guys cite Airtel policy of 'charging by minute' and not by second. Due to this, my bill is always inflated despite being within the allotted quote of local/STD/SMS and Data.
4. Roaming: When the country is moving towards one region of service, Airtel sends a notice that from this month onwards, the roaming charges will be 99 and not 75.
I see ads from Airtel about challenging Airtel on 4G speed (its hilarious to see this kind of propaganda when people don't even have signals!!! How will anyone check speed when there is no signal at all). FIRST FIX YOUR NETWORK COVERAGE BEFORE PUTTING ADS SUCH AS THIS. YOU ARE MAKING YOURSELF A LAUGHING STOCK!!!
How much and how long will you take money (through your inefficiencies) from customers like this? As a customer, I am really disappointed with the way you are running your business and the kind of people who are front ending your company.
I am sure I am not the only one complaining about these to you and TRAI. I am sure you can take a swift action to resolve my issues as well as thousands and lakhs of similar complaints on Airtel Services.
