I have been airtel customer for over 10 years . I have been using serval services from aitel.
As I moved into my current house in gurgaon, I bought the broadband service since the beginning of last year.
I have been paying bills on time and the connection was not so bad .
The nature of my job demands a lot of travel. Some times short trip and sometimes long trips ( more than a month )
. I have been paying the bills online individually every month as the system was not allowing me for automatic payment schedules using credit card ( it works for May phone connection though ) .
I had to leave for a longer assignment in Colombia during April . Unfortunately, I met with an accident there and was hospitalised . My hand was severely affected and couldn't move for several months . Eventually out of many pending activities, broadband bills due was one .
I couldn't pay online as they deactivated my online account . I made several international calls to airtel customer care with no success but lost money on Nice connecting international call waiting .
I returned to India a day before, still with not functioning arm, to listen to harassment calls from so Called advocate from airtel . ( some Pooja, [protected] ) .
I was threatened to send to jail and so on . The representative went on accusing me and never gave me a chance to explain . Though I promised to pay and tried to explain ' not paying ' was my intention, the harassment went on .
She demanded that I paid the money by today ( 24th September ) to make sure I am not arrested / a complaint is registered in the court . I promised to pay, however, I was made to wait for several hours . In spite of telling her that I was delayed for my medical appointment, she demanded that I waited . After spending the whole day at whom waiting for an agent to collect the money, I decided to go ahead with my appointment . The representative kept interrupting my appointment with non stop calls even after texting her about the appointment . I am writing this after sever mental inconvenience .
Most importantly, the representative kept refusing the idea of going to do direct payment airtel office . I am not sure if it's a legitimate call . However, I am done with airtel . I am changing my service provided and will recommend the same to my friends and colleagues .
Nice pay back for being a loyal customer for years !!!
