I have paid my bill for [protected] which was Rs 2604 in cash at airtel store and the number is deactivated 6-7 months back but all of sudden i am getting a call from an unknown number who says that he is an advocate from Delhi and have filed case against me in Delhi court. When i called to the customer care, the executive told me to mail on [protected]@airtel.in with my concern but when i got the reply it was shocking and disappointing as they are not able to find any details updated in their system about bill being paid and request for number deactivation, i have to pay this amount again which i find is not fair. When i called back at customer care to ask for proper resolution, Airtel Customer Care people are asking for receipt for the bill paid, i told them its been 6 months i dont have the receipt and since the bill was paid by cash and after learning that i dont have any other proof for paid bill now they are pressuring me to pay this amount again.
