This complaint is against airtel telecommunications. I have tried following up with the company innumerous times and even though it's been 3 months since i have been behind this, the company has done absolutely nothing to resolve my issue.
As per the airtel fibernet plan available on airtel website, i contacted the company for a 300 mbps broadband connection, more than 3 months back, on june 12th. Company sent someone to check the feasibility of the connection in our area and the advance amount, rs. 5306, was collected from us by this person. Before paying the amount, we did inquire whether we will be able to receive 300mbps itself and he replied yes.in the evening, the installation personnel came and finished the installation. When we checked the speed, we found out it was only 40 mbps, way lesser than the promised 300 mbps. As per the installation guy, we contacted airtel office. They agreed to cancel the subscription and refund the amount as they do not have the telecommunications infrastructure to provide the promised 300 mbps speed in our area. They informed us that rs. 300 will be deducted from the amount we paid, which we could not understand why, but, we had to accept. As per airtel's request, i sent them every single document that they asked for, including copy of a cancelled cheque, for them to make the refund through a bank transaction. Upon sending the documents, airtel informed me that they have initiated the refund transaction and provided me with a receipt number for further tracking. However, i have been tracking and tracking since june and there are no updates!

When informed of this failed refund transaction, airtel demanded me to share my normal and credit account statements, which i shared twice with them even though these are confidential documents. Even after this, without providing me with the transaction id of the refund they made, so that i can follow up with my bank, they are claiming that i have received my refund, which is highly irresponsible and fraudulent.
I'm fed up of sending them mail over mail, calling them 24*7, hoping for a resolution to my issue. I request consumer complaints to take strict action against airtel and to help me get my money back. This is pure robbery. Companies like airtel are stripping ordinary people off their consumer rights!
