[Resolved]  Airtel — sim forcefully converted from prepaid connection to postpaid

One of my 4g sim stopped working suddenly, when I reached airtel store they told that it is an electronic thing and can stop anytime. I submitted whatever documents were required to reissue a new sim. They took 50 rupee and on top of that forcefully converted my prepaid sim to postpaid saying that is the only option available.

I checked with Airtel customer care and they confirmed that prepaid will be converted to prepaid only.

My guess is the guy at the counter "Jagdeep Singh" did it on purpose to complete his own target of issuing postpaid sim.

Now I'll have to wait 90-120 days to convert it back to prepaid.

net-net airtel and their corrupt employees are looting people, 50 for new sim and then 500+ for postpaid plan and I can't even port sim to another service before 90 days.
