I have enabled international roaming on 26th dec’18 and completed my trip to be back in india on 31st dec’18 (While i left international location on 30th dec’18 only). I have asked to enable pack of rs.1199-/- and taxes. The usage was within range.
After coming to india, i saw an threatening message that account will be blocked. “usage alert: you have used 4271 mb approx rs3560 in international roaming on your airtel mobile as per the last update received. As a precaution, internet service will be temporarily blocked soon. To continue, sms yes to [protected]”.
I saw that as a threat after being customer for years and using airtel for my family. I immediately wrote to them and they have corrected the bill generated on 3rd jan’2019 for the dec’18 month till 2nd jan’19.
Once again when i was trying to pay feb’19 generated bill, faced the issue that they have added rs. 3, 623.48 and taxes of rs. 796.04. That made feb’19 bill of rs.5218.52-/-.
That issue got settled in jan’19 bill generated till 2nd jan’19 and after that there was no international travel. So there must be no further charges related to international roaming.
I communited the same to airtel customer care on 20th feb’19 and asked to remove these charges and generate fresh bill so that i can pay my normal bill. However i have paid normal bill of rs.942-/- with taxes. On call, customer care representative was showing arrogance that we can’t do anything and only can reduce rs. 1000-/- as goodwill gesture. I have made very clear that i am fighting for right things and it will be zero. I don’t need charity from airtel but stop harassing the customers.
I need remedy for the same to square of these undue charges and maintain my services.
Fyi i am sharing the interaction id with airtel as [protected] with their customer care. I asked for giving me complaint id but refused to share which is strange.
