My experience with Amazon in specific is the worst what could happen. Due to which I am cancelling all my orders of my clients, fellow associates and family members with them and we will never ever contact Amazon.in for future reference. This was the first time I purchased a major item for Rs 36, 000 and thanks to Amazon this will be the last ever. I had to further spend Rs 4, 000 on installation charges which before delivery I was assured by the Amazon team that no such charges will be applicable and all amount of Rs 36, 000 is inclusive of installation charges and again I was assured that all such amount on installation will be refunded back to me after the installation but all being false claims by Amazon India.
When I paid the amount on delivery and asked for installation I was told by LG customer care that on purchasing TVs online separate LG installation charges will be applicable which will be amount of Rs800 service charges + bracket(wall mounting) charges known by service engineer+ service tax +12.36%.
I informed the same to Amazon 2-3 times about such charges on installation asked by LG & was completely assured by Amazon to go ahead with the installation & all such amount will be refunded back to me in form of Gift card when I forward the invoice for installation to them.
Today after the installation was done and waiting for 5 days when I got it installed I was asked to pay rs 4, 000 (service charges: 800 + service tax 99 and wall mounting (bracket) charges of 3100.) by lg representative engineer which I paid. And now when I asked Amazon to refund me they clearly refused that such amount is out of their expectation.
Now if such amount was out of their expectation why in the first place they didn't communicate with me about their expectation as I had already clearly stated these guys that such amount will be paid on installation and they assured me that please don't panic as all amount will be refunded not once but thrice.
This is very unprofessional and due to this I will cancel all my associate orders and orders of my family members with Amazon as they are a fraud service provider.
If I had been told clearly when I asked them before delivery that installation charges were extra on purchase I would have cancelled my order and not paid 36k. If I would have been told that we can refund only Rs500-700 as its our maximum expectation I wouldn't have installed and spend another 4k .Offline retalers and dealers provide free installation (wall mounting) that also at very competitive prices.
I have not gained on discount which I have lost on the amount of headaches I have got purchasing a TV from Amazon.
All this will deeply effect your relationships with customers as you could have easily stood with the promise you make and assurance you give to customers on which we trust & spend our hard earned money .And also the negative word of mouth which u have got by this.
