Amazon India — refund denied

i bought an amazon kindle paperwhite for Rs.11, 999 which was under try and buy scheme and amazon was supposed to refund full amount in case of return within the time specified. i got the unit by cash on delivery (COD) and just within a week i requested amazon that i want to return it, they deputed some courier company and took back the same from me. amazon was duly aware of all the happenings as i have chatted more than half century times and many emails exchanged. sometimes they fully assured early refund, and sometimes they clearly denied it. it has been 3-4 months now and i am extremely puzzled by all the scenario and mis-management of amazon. help me.
