Iam a resident based from Delhi, I have recently moved to Goalpara city (Assam) for work.
The power supply here seems like it's in the 19th century.
The general public is frequently inconvenienced by the many unscheduled and unwarranted load shedding.
It's the peak of summer and load shedding extending beyond 24 hours is common.
On a normal day there is so many fluctuations in the power supply, they time the load shedding with just 1-5 mins of interval of power supply.
On an average there are 5-10 load shedding events at Goalpara.
The moment it rain or even a short drizzle lasting a few minutes there is load shedding again.
The apathy shown by the board towards the welfare and wellbeing of the citizens residing in Goalpara is shocking.
Obviously the persons in power donot face such issues it's left to the common man to fend for themselves.
Have stayed here for a short 3 months, I have faced varying lengths of load shedding, the longest of 48 hours, 24 hours - 3 times, 12+ hours -2 times, 6-8 hours too many times.
I hope my plea is heard and quick action be taken for the sake of the residents of Goalpara. Was this information helpful? |
