I bought the new ASUS ROG Phone 5 on 14th May 2021. Only after 2 months of the purchase, on 19th Aug 2021, I switched on my phone from the switched off state, and didn't switch on. I tried different charger but phone was just dead. I ran to the nearest authorized asus service center which is "TVS Electronics Ltd. - Asus Service Center Thane, Maharashtra". They told me to submit my phone there and they will call me once its repaired. After 5 days, service center called me and told me my phone is repaired and collect it. I went there to collect my phone, only to find out my phone's finger print is not working. Service center person told me, that its his first time dealing with ROG5, and he needs few more days to fix this. So i again submitted the phone there and came back home. Now, they are not picking up calls and aren't telling me any update.
If service center guys are not trained why ASUS gives them Authorized status. They have opened my phone several times now, Its beeen only 2 months, even my EMI are not paid off yet. After paying so much money, I expect a good product, but ASUS has failed to deliver it to me. and even after sale service is so bad. I want a replacement for my unit, with a proper working unit since its only been used 2 months or so.
