I met representative of airtel, Mr satyendra vishkarma on 19th august regarding
broadband connection. I was offered various plans starting from 999. He also told
that now plans of company has changed, connection speeds are provided irrespective
of monthly rental depending upon distance from distribution point. Also I was told
that 699 plan no longer available in your area (indiranagar lucknow). Upon
declining for any connection He called back me next day offering 699 monthly
rental, and when I inquired about the speed which will be provided? I was told
that "you can have any of the speed i.e. 2, 4, 8 mbps". I opted for 4mbps speed
and payed 1000 for installation on 22nd august (I was not given the receipt at
the moment and he (Mr. vishkarma) assured me to give the same next day...which I
have not been provided till date!!!. The installation was done on 24th august,
but to my utter surprise, I was not provided the speed (4mbps) which was told to
me before hand. Connection at only 2 mbps was given.
I immediately called Mr Akhilesh. (technical team personal who came for
installation).He replied me to talk to Mr. Satyendra vishkarma. He also very
loosely told that these false information and assurance of speeds, services etc
are given just for "increasing the sales"(..mind you...these were his words!!! -
Another person from airtel). Upon talking to Mr Satyendra vishwkarma he simply
told "it was mistake on his part" now nothing can be done!!!You use connection for
one month and get it disconnected!” He repeatedly did not answer my calls neither
gave me receipt of installation amount. I even talked to Mr. Sumitro, MrSinha from
technical team but to no avail. One Mr. Dilshaad (senior of satyendra vishkarma)
tried to intimidate me by saying recovery personal will deal with me if I get the
connection disconnected!
My only request is that kindly upgrade my speed if possible or else get my
connection disconnected and refund installation amount. It is not the question of
1000/- But its issue of misguiding the customers, giving false information about
the plans (to meet the sales), demeanor of ground staff working for the airtel.
According to one of the personal from airtel, Mr. Dilshaad, “company does not run
by connection or disconnection by one of the customers like you”. He simply
forgets that its we, the genuine customers, that gives business to the company. It
is unbecoming for people from company like airtel to give such an experience and
ugly behavior which can simply be labeled a blatant fraud or cheating. It not in
keeping with the company of standards like Airtel.
I am hopeful that appropriate redressal to my grievances will be done at this
level or else I shall be forced to appeal to higher appellate authorities
including TCCMS (telecom consumers complain monitoring system) or TRAI.
Here I am providing details of my connection and the name and numbers of concerned
personals with whom I talked but to no respite.
