We were facing issue with our 2 year old Bosch dishwasher, suddenly a well functioning machine would leave hard water stains on the dishes & we were in a fix. After contacting customer service & multiple follow ups over 12 days we got the technician to visit our place. Firstly he tried cheating us by charging Rs 600 visiting charge when we were informed it's Rs 300. Then he said us that we need to replace our machine's motor & install an additional water softener, both would cost Rs.10, 000-12, 000.
We looked into the issue resolution of the machine through YouTube tutorials & identified that a simple setting of hard water will solve this issue. We might have reversed the settings during usage, while we changed it back, voila, our dishwasher worked perfectly fine!
Bosch dishwashers come with internal softeners, need not install external ones, I'm sure what could be resolved by us at no cost could be resolved by these company trained technicians who charge us for their visits, had their intent been resolution & not fleecing us. This is pathetic customer service by the company service team. I'm writing my experience here so that other customers are beware & Bosch India takes appropriate actions to prevent such issues in the future.
