I had booked on 16529 a ticket in First AC to Bangalore for 25th of December 2010 on the 19th of December and my status was W/L 1 and till 4 PM there was no notification of the status of my e ticket and I was 20 Kms away from station, I called 131 of Gulbarga and they said I had to come to station to find out about the status of my booking, 139 was not working on that day, and IRCTC site showed me as W/L 1 even at 4.30. the departure of the train is 6.40 PM. If I come all the way to Gulbarga to find out if I am still on WL what an inconveinience it is for me? When I contacted Solapur I came to know both the First AC quota are lying vacant and they arranged for a room for me!!!!!!! my wife was booked earlier in A/C two tier in A1 coach and since another seat was vacant I requested the conductor to upgrade her. We both are senior citizens, when he brought the receipt he asked me to pay the full far for her as the female senior citizen facility could not be given to her in such upgradation!!!!! even when auto upgradation facility is avilable,a punishment for the snior citizens. because of the kindness of some one at Solapur I could travel that day otherwise both seats could have gone vacant, who cares for the loss of railway? and inconveniene for the passenger? the reservation status could be informed at least 12 hrs before the train deparure so that the pasenger could plan alternative arrangement as the e ticket is not allowed to enter the train even to bargain with the conductor..

    Sir,
    Due to winter season sunlight becomes dim early i.e. upto 6.00 p.m. there is very poor light on the bridges of Thane railway station. Besides the bridges are too small for big crowd , due to poor lighting there is heavy rush everyday after 6.00 p.m. and also huge crowd is coming on the bridge due to peak period. It results in overcrowding of bridges as people cannot walk through fastly on the bridge due to nonavailability of light which in turn results in chain pulling, eve-teasing and other antisocial activities . I fear it may lead to serious injuries due to heavy rush in future. I have tried two times to complain this fact to station master of Thane station. However reply from the person holding the chair was not positive. Instead he told me to put my complaint in writing. Is he unaware of this geographical reason of big nights n small days of winter ?

      I am regular traveling by mumbai local train. As I am working in pvt. firm I dont have holiday on all bank holidays. But I noticed that on Bank Holidays Ladies Special train
      of Central railway has been always cancelled. And also there is announcement that
      as bank holiday train schedule will be as per sunday train schedule. I would like to
      bring to notice to railways dept. that like me there are many womens are there who
      go their office as they dont have all bank holidays. It seems that Ladies Special of
      Central railway is running only for those women who work in Govt. and Bank. Sp
      when these women are on holiday train should be stop.
      So there is request to central railway dept. that please dont cancel Ladies Special Local on holidays as there are many womens are working on many bank holidays.

        This is to bring to yourkind notice that the Nahur Station started working with effect from April 2006 but as on date nothing is properly done. No shed is put for ladies as we find it very difficut during monson and summer seasons in
        NAHUR STN.

        There is no proper indicator in the Nahur Stn. in the morning till 8.30 a.m.
        When we come running to catch the train, if there is no indicator we are not aware which train has gone and which is coming.

        My friend had been to Wockart hospital with her mother who was ill. After her treatment she was going to Nahur Stn to catch a train. As it was raining heavily, she has to walk all the way near Wockart hospital to climb the bridge. There should have been one more bridge at the entrance of Nahur Station in the West on the Link Road to help sick people, pregnant ladies and other school, college going children to catch the train.

        I myself had bitter experience as i am staying in Link Road and has to walk a lot by which time you are likely to miss so many empty trains and hence my humble request to please take the matter seriously and please set right the station by keeping the train Indicator in order and also to provide shed and bridge to climb.

        I fully with this message, in nahur station there is no indicator, no announcement, no canteen, atleast the railway should put 1 stall (Canteen), th the train timing is very ban.usually i catch 6.08 pm kalyan local, but the train cums befor 2 min time. and before reaching station the moves and after that there 3 thane local, cand then there is train on 6.26 pm, hardly we have to wait for 20 min, i think there ae lots of train for thane.even all slow & fast local is available for thene. so u ppl are adviced to, make a train after 10 min, and indicator, announcement. we are paying money for our ticket and pass if we did, nt get facility then we can travel by bus only. so, pls look into this matter and do the needful please.

          Dear SIr / Madam,

          In central railway line, in the First Class compartment lot of Baggers / Railway Employee / Workers /Hawaldars are Travelling without Tickets.

          You have to take necessary action, Specaily in the KASARA TRAIN. After Kalyan station lot people are claimbing in the first class compartment with out Tickets with heavy luggage. If your TC want to complete there month quota then this the best option.

          IN 7.02 P.M. Train from THANE.

          You have to check the first class compartment after kalyan station up to titwala you will get definatly 25 to 50 People Travelling without Tickets.

            Dear Sirs,
            On 24th May 2010, I travelled with 7 of my family members from Mumbai to Coimbatore in the 3rd AC coach of 1013 Dn Kurla - Coimbatore Express. The PNR number of our tickets were [protected] and [protected]. Of the 8 tickets booked, 7 were in the B-3 coach and 1 was in the B-2 coach. Despite having confirmed tickets we were surprised to note that all our side berth seats viz. 40, 48, 56 and 64 in the B-3 coach were occupied by RAC ticket holders and their contention was that we had the right to occupy the berth only and not the seat. We were surprised at this rather quixotic logic being given at us and approached the TTE to help us in this regard.

            Far from being helpful, the TTE (Badge no. 239, name plate was not legible) of the B-3 coach was rude, abusive (his comment was " Tum Ko Dimag Haain Ki Nahin") and uncooperative. Not only was his beviour bad, he flatly refused to give the complaint book, loudly shounting "Jo karna hai kar lo".

            Needless to say we had a very uncomfortable journey unable to occupy our confirmed seats throughout the long journey.

            I would like the Railway authorities to answer the following questions:

            !. All other fellow travellers who have confirmed berths, have access to both the seat and the berth. How come inspite of paying the full fare for all our seats we were not allowed to occupy our legitimate seats?

            2. How can a Railway Official like the TTE use abusive and rude language with a passenger?

            3. How can the TTE refuse to give the passenger the complaint book and talk nonchalantly about the same?

            I would expect an early response from the Railways on this matter, failing which I would be forced to escalate this matter to the Consumer Court.

                For patients,the going gets tough on Parel FoB

                Mumbai: Although Parel has undergone a massive makeover,its railway station seems to have been caught in a time-warp.There is only one foot-overbridge for Parels increasing number of passengers,inconveniencing thousands of patients who alight here during the rush hour every day.
                Every morning,it is pathetic to see cancer patients holding urine bags or handicapped patients struggling to get out of the station, says Dr Armaity Dehmubed,lecturer of preventive social medicine at KEM Hospital.
                Parel has the highest density of hospital beds in the city as it has four big hospitals within a radius of a few kilometres.The central government-run Tata Memorial Hospital,civic-run KEM and Wadia hospitals and ESIS-run Mahatma Gandhi Hospital.There also is the oldest eye hospital in the city,Bachaooali Eye and ENT Hospital.
                This means the Parel station sees many patients getting off early morning.Last week,a young mother was in tears as she struggled to hold her 15-day-old baby en route to Wadia Hospital.The doctor ultimately had to walk ahead of the mother to make little space.
                Another regular at Parel station,Kalyan resident Sanjay Ghavate,is on a mission to get an additional foot-overbridge for the station.I have got 250 signatures,written to Central Railway general manager,MP Milind Deora,MNS chief Raj Thackeray,among others, he says.His concern is the instinct among people to cross the tracks instead of waiting to climb the crowded stairway.There is a railway workshop in Parel and its employees,too,are forced to cross the tracks, he adds.
                Ghavate points out to another aspect.In the last two years,the commuter traffic at Parel has shot up a great deal.Many malls and offices have come up in the Parel-Lower Parel block.Many youngsters who work here travel via Parel station.Central Railway statistics show that there has been over 30% growth in passenger traffic at Parel in the last two years, adds Ghavate.
                A patient with a chronic disease who goes to KEM Hospital on a regular basis,said,As OPD registration at these hospitals is open between 8.30 am and 10.30 am,the rush of patients is highest in the morning.With a single bridge,it is a struggle even to keep standing in one place as there is such a huge crowd.
                CRs chief PRO S C Mudgerikar says that the authorities are aware about the situation at the Parel station.The MMRDA had given a proposal for a skywalk.Now that the government has decided to review its skywalk policy,we are not sure about the project, he said,assuring that if need be,the CR would make a new walkway at Parel.

                  This is to bring to your kind attention that the Hon'ble Social Justice & Empowerment Minister Mr. Mukul Wasnik has requested to all of Ministers and State Government to make such facilities in Government Buildings and Organisations so that all of the disabled persons can easily access to the facilities. It is pertinent to observe that despite the civilians as well as commuters of rail department had requested for providing ramp of Foot Over Bridge at Dhamangaon Rail station in Nagpur Division, they are reluctant to make such facility available to this stations for the reasons best known to them. In light of recent developments, we expect that your ministry will take necessary steps to make this facility available on Dhamangaon Rail Station in Amravati District of Vidarbha more particularly in Nagpur Division area.

                  We shall be grateful to your good-self if ramp facility on foot over bridge is provided at the earliest.

                    The people staying beyond Kalyan especially Ambarnath / Badlapur / Karjat side facing a lot of problems daily. The central Railway should think over of rapid development in Ulhasnagar / Ambarnath / Badlapur side.
                    The think is we have wait for more than 30 minutes for a train in Ambarnath & 45 to 1hour in Badlapur to catch a train as only 7 & 17 Kms from Kalyan respectively. I can show some example in the morning peak hours, in Ambarnath for going CST after 9.07am Karjat local only 9.37am Dadar where a 30 minutes gap due to Deccan Queen. The solution is start a down local from CST / Dadar reaching to Ambarnath in between 9.06am & 9.36am and get return trip. Also pl introduce a Badlapur - CST local leaving by 8.50am at Badlapur. Also in the evening earlier there was a slow local leaving Dadar for Badlapur at 5.13pm but now it runs upto Kalyan only. Then the solution should be 5.24pm Kalyan fast extended to Badalapur but it is not done making harrasment. Pl think about the people staying beyond Kalyan little bit.

                    Dear Minister,
                    We are the resident of MUMBRA CITY in THANE DISTRICT. We are heavily facing the problems of LOCAL TRAINS. As many as students, employees etc are unable to board the TRAINS. MUMBRA STATION is one the OLDEST STATION & BUSIEST STATION in THANE DISTRICT & IN MUMBAI.
                    MUMBRA POPULATION is ONE THE HIGHEST IN THANE DISTRICT & HIGHEST TAX PAYER IN THANE DISTRICT. Promises made many by many were not kept:

                    1.> During peak hours not even one person is able to catch up the train yet there is no increase in the frequency of DOMBIVALI Local.

                    2.> There has been a CONSISTENT PROMISE of MUMBRA-MUMBAI CST LOCAL yet there is no sign of improvement.

                    3.> There has also been a PROMISE of NEW PLATFORM for MUMBRA-MUMBAI CST LOCAL & SPACE is also THERE yet there is no sign of improvement.

                    4.> The MUMBRA CST end bridge is already 30-25 years OLD yet it has been not make overed OR rehabilitated.

                    5.> The TICKET COUNTER of MUMBRA STATION is always FULL 24 HOURS BECAUSE OF HEAVY INCREASE IN POPULATION & SPACE is also there yet there is NO INCREASE IN TICKET COUNTER.

                    6.> There should be a SEPRATE EXTENSION TICKET COUNTER & COUPON COUNTER.

                    7.> SPACE around the MUMBRA STATION should be PROPERLY MANAGED BECAUSE STN PREMISES IS ALWAYS FULL.

                    8.> There should be DIGITAL INDICATOR SHOWING OF NEXT COMING TRAINS AS THERE IS ALWAYS CONFUSION OF FAST & SLOW TRAINS.

                    9.> There should be COOL & MILD WATER in station platform...

                    10.> There should be RPF alloted in every station yet it NOT AVAILABLE, NOT SEEN NOR MANAGED.


                    PLEASE PLEASE DO TAKE THE STRICT ACTION & URGENTLY DO THE NEEDFUL BECAUSE COMMUTER ARE FACING SERIOUS PROBLEMS...

                    People living at Badlapur (beyond kalyan) do face a lot of problems, especiaaly in the evening there are no trains for 30 to 45 min, and after waiting for so long, u will get a slow train which means from CST it takes u almost 2 hours, that is harassement. Fast trains should be increased beyond kalyan after 8 pm also.
                    plz starts new trains to badlapur, there should be only 15 min gap between trains leaving badlapur

                        Daily we are traveling fr BADLAPUR to DADAR/CST. We hereby want to raise an attention for following points: -
                        1. For KHOPOLI/KARJAT/BADLAPUR route train frequency is very much poor as compared to commuters rush. Frequency of other trains like THANE/DOMBIVLI/KALYAN has been increased over the years; but since many years LONG DISTANCE trains (KHOPOLI/KARJAT/BADLAPUR) which carries huge crowds has less frequency. We actually need trains at least for every 15minutes. Increase no. of trains in morning hrs towards up-side-CST and in evening towards down-side - KARJAT.
                        Commuters from other stations mostly travel by these long distance trains; since these are fast and KALYAN ot THANA trains are mostly slow or semi-fast. Because of the other people rush, the long-distance public like us cannot get in trains easily. In western railway, train frequency is every 3minutes on both fast as well as slow tracks. But the same is no where observed in central railway. Also there are 2ladies special train running from Borivli and Virar in western railway; but in central there is only 1ladies special from kalyan; which is of no use for commuters beyond KALYAN; where there is the maximum rush.

                        2. We Ladies Commuters also want to complain against the newly added 12coach trains in railways
                        a) These are very much un-comfortable and insecure to travel.
                        b) These trains had very less space at the seating arrangements.
                        c) The door rod is made of very smooth finishing metal which doesn’t give a grip while getting into train also we can’t take other support since the door’s doesn’t have a handle.
                        d) In middle ladies compartment, whole third door space is been transferred to handicapped ones. Kindly note that there are only 3 compartments for ladies commuters, in that also some space is been shared by other public, how can we travel? Why can’t space from general compartment be used; which has almost 9 compartments to travel.
                        e) In the old trains, we used to stand in 2 lines though we don’t have seats. But in these new trains, we can’t stand properly in 1 line also.
                        This design is not at all feasible & suitable for Indian Conditions.
                        PLEASE STOP RUNNING THESE NEWLY ADDED 12COACH TRAINS ON LONG DISTANCE. INSTEAD RUN THOSE ON SHORT DISTANCE LIKE DOMBIVALI/THANA/GHATKOPAR/KURLA.

                        Hope our concern will be considered by Mumbai Central Sub-urban Railway.

                        no water in trains — COMPLAINT FOR SUPPLY OF WATER IN TRAINS

                        Respected Sir,

                        I, S.N.Rawat is travelling with PNR No.[protected].There is no water at all in the train .Though assurance is given at Tata Nagar Station, but no water has been supplied in the matter.We have lodged a complaint with GHASURJODA station but of no avail. Water facilities have been completely denied.Children and ladies are crying for water for morning routine but of no use. The train is a saviour for the days when there is a major train problems/cancellations, and it is a saviour for the ladies, sick persons, women senior citizens, children, mothers with babies, pregnant women etc. So pls do not cancel the ladies special.

                        Hello Sir / Madam,

                        Allowed to sit more non-reservation passengers in reservation compartment.

                        This incident happened in Train No 1401/ Nandigram Exp on 30th April 2009

                        TTE name Mr. Shaikh.

                        I boarded the train from Dadar Station at 4:50 PM and TTE came around 7:00 PM to check the ticket at that time he was ignoring the passengers who didn’t have reservation ticket. while asking about his complaint book he told me complaint book is with A/C TTE but A/C TTE was also miss guided me about the complaint book.

                        I am very much unsatisfied passenger on such poor management by the Central Railway who is allotting more waiting ticket than capacity of the train at the same time the TTE who allotted for coach also ignoring the same.

                        So I request to look into such matter which happened usually with passenger.

                        I hope you will understand the situation of the passenger who is purchasing the TATKAL ticket but has to travel like in general compartment.

                        Please increase the number of ladies special local train on central line
                        I am staying at Badlapur and daily travelling from Badlapur to CST.We all people of Badlapur suffer lots of problem regarding local train frequency.Now Badlapur is also becomes one of conjusted city like Kalyan, Dombivli.But still here no local train frequency is increased.Many time we have to wait for 45 min. to 1 Hrs. for train.Central railway increase lots of train of Kalyan, Dombivli and Thane.But of Long distance train like Badlapur is not increased.Many time local like Kurla To CST is also running.But Central Railway yet not think of Long Distance train like Badlapur/Karjat.We expect from Central Railway frequency like have in Western Railway.This is one of the serious problem and Central Railway have to think on immediate basis.
                        I am daily traveller from Badlapur to Dadar.There is lot of problem of frequency local train in this route.Central railway increase the local train for Kalyan/Dombivli/Ambernath and Thane.But very less local available for Badlapur.We suffer lot while travelling. Central Railway need to extend Dombivli/Kalyan/Ambernath local to Badlapur.Because it s usefull for all.So this is request to Central Railway to increase locals for Badlapur.My second complaint is of reservation window of Badlapur.Because timing of window only upto 2.00 P.M.and only one window is available.So timing of window is need to extend to 8.00 P.M.Expecting quicker solution from Central Railway redarding above mentioned problems.

                        We strongly recommending to have a Mulund Haulting fast Local train between 8.40 am to 8.52 am from Dadar.
                        As per New Time Table There is 8.08 am Fast train which Stpos at Mulund and After that 8.56 Karjat Local Stops at Mulund.
                        We are strongly recommending to hault any of the fast trains between 8.44 am to 8.52am in Mulund Station.We do not have a slow train also in That period from Dadar as there are Ghatkopar and Kurla locals

                        The train no 1022 Up Indrayani Exp has schedule time at Pune station is 6.35 Pm which start from pune stn. Train no 2170 Solapur Pune super fast Exp which arrives at pune Stn around 6.00 pm get converted into 1022up Indrayani Exp. The passanger travelled by 2170 does not alight on pune station.The Train 1022 up starts from Pune station. My request is the passangers who travel by 2170 up should be get down at Pune station Because train terminate at Pune station & Fresh train starts from pune station 1022up.The passanger who want to travel by 1022up does not get seat for seating because of 2170 Up passangers.The Train no 2170 Up terminate at Pune station so passanger in general cotch sould be get down on pune station from 2170up train.

                        sir there was many problems in pen city many of fast trains are not stop in pen then in now a days work in progress of second track for starting local trains to roha but when the trains start? because when i go to panvel the work is too slowly then plz full city of pen is watching for local because st tickets are 27Rs. to panvel but train take only 8Rs.much difference in ticket plz help me

                        As i travel daily from Badlapur to Thane the frequency of trains are very less from badlapur, karjat and khopoli
                        The compartments of First class ladies are very small with only 12 seats.
                        While gents first class in 5-6 times bigger than us
                        If we miss one train at 8:30 then its at 9:0 and after that its at 9:28
                        there is an half hour interval between trains while coming and the same while returining home
                        While returing all trains after 8 are slow to badlapur which causes more dealy to reach home
                        as badlpaur is not that developed wen we reach late there are no autos standing

                        Please request you to increase the frequecy of trains to badlpur either slow or fast

                        I am staying in Mulund and travelling to CST by morning trains running from CST to Thane, reaching at MULUND at 8.16 Hrs. in morning. Since las t 10 days this train is reaching Mulund at 8.12 /8.13 hres. means it is reaching at Mulund by 3 to 4 minuts early then it schedul time . which creat problem for pessengers to reach in time in office, even though they reach on plateform in time they have alreasy missed the train and altemely they have to travel by crowded fast train comming from longer distences.
                        I want to know @ progress of double track from Panvel to Roha.And also want to know when dt work is scheduled to be completed.Eagerly waiting for increased shuttles on Panvel-Roha route.If any body is having information on same, pl post it here.

                        Central Railway — without giving public notice of curtailing the facility to the nagpur mumbai duronto express general compartment

                        I have taken ticket from nagpur bearing ticket no 86394150 Nagpur to mumbai CSTM. I boarded in the train in general compartmet (SLR) where the thirty perssonel can accomodate. just before the departure i along with 15 other passenger was asked to getdown from bogee stating that general passenger facilities of the train is removed. for that I asked them to show me such govt/railway order or notification they failed to proudec and forcebly we have dtrained.
                        I went to station manager nagpur and reqest allow me to board in genaral coach but niether he had permited nor he shown me such order that cancelled abovesaid facilitiy.after long orguiment I permited to make a complaint.(*cmplaint no45) by this act I failerd to join my duity. made me a lot of mental tention. for that railway should pay me compaincetion of rupees 1 lakh.

                        We are the resident of MUMBRA CITY in THANE DISTRICT. We are heavily facing the problems of LOCAL TRAINS. As many as students, employees etc are unable to board the TRAINS. MUMBRA STATION is one the OLDEST STATION & BUSIEST STATION in THANE DISTRICT & IN MUMBAI.
                        MUMBRA POPULATION is ONE THE HIGHEST IN THANE DISTRICT & HIGHEST TAX PAYER IN THANE DISTRICT. Promises made many by many were not kept:

                        1.> During peak hours not even one person is able to catch up the train yet there is no increase in the frequency of DOMBIVALI Local.

                        2.> There has been a CONSISTENT PROMISE of MUMBRA-MUMBAI CST LOCAL yet there is no sign of improvement.

                        3.> There has also been a PROMISE of NEW PLATFORM for MUMBRA-MUMBAI CST LOCAL & SPACE is also THERE yet there is no sign of improvement.

                        4.> The MUMBRA CST end bridge is already 30-25 years OLD yet it has been not make overed OR rehabilitated.

                        5.> The TICKET COUNTER of MUMBRA STATION is always FULL 24 HOURS BECAUSE OF HEAVY INCREASE IN POPULATION & SPACE is also there yet there is NO INCREASE IN TICKET COUNTER.

                        6.> There should be a SEPRATE EXTENSION TICKET COUNTER & COUPON COUNTER.

                        7.> SPACE around the MUMBRA STATION should be PROPERLY MANAGED BECAUSE STN PREMISES IS ALWAYS FULL.

                        8.> There should be DIGITAL INDICATOR SHOWING OF NEXT COMING TRAINS AS THERE IS ALWAYS CONFUSION OF FAST & SLOW TRAINS.

                        9.> There should be COOL & MILD WATER in station platform...

                        10.> There should be RPF alloted in every station yet it NOT AVAILABLE, NOT SEEN NOR MANAGED.

It is very difficult to catch local train during peak hours as well as to stand in crowded train for more than 15-30 minutes.Spacial railway pass for limited period need to be issued to such ladies who can travel in reserve compartment.

                        Electronic indicators required urgently at Bhiwandi road station.This will help a many people to get into the train easily without any confusion.Please stop Bhavnagar-Kakinada express at Bhiwandi road station for the convience of lots of people.Increse the frequency of DMU trains.

                        Railway Mumbai — Slow trains for stations between Thane to Kalyan.

                        I used to travel from Ghatkoper to Mumbra daily. My office timing is 10. am. there are slow trains after every 20 minutes for staitions between Thane to Kalyan. Also no fast train stops on these staitions. So in this way a late for a second cause a late for half an hour. It is very difficult to come on time and catch the train for ladies after doing household tasks. So it will be help if there are trains after every 5 minutes for Kalyan or if fast trains stops at stations between Thane to Kalyan. Hope I am not a single person suffering the same problem.
                        PLEASE PROVIDE ELECTRONIC INDICATOR URGENTLY AT SUBURB NAHUR STATION WHICH IS VERY MUCH HELPFUL FOR COMMUTERS RUNNING TO CATCH THE TRAIN.

                        Central Railway — Non working coupon validating machines

                        This is to bring to your notice that while travelling on 10th December 2010 all the coupon validating machines at Mumbai CST were not working. Can the authorities please look into this. and if it is so much of a bother than they can stop selling coupon booklets and remove all the machines from the stations.
                        Only one machine works at Mulund West. The only machine at Matunga station (West) is also out of order since the month of november 2010

                        This is with our problem regarding poor frequency of local train of Badlapur to Mumbai CST.If we have to travell towards thane, mumbai, vashi we have to 100% depands on local trains.Central Railway need to run one local in 10 minutes.If we compare with western railway our frequency is thirdclass for Badlapur.Virar local frequency also less than 5 minutes.But for 1 badlapur local we have to wait for 30 min. to 35 min.As we see most of The traveller of Dombivli, Thane and kalyan is travell in long route local like Badlapur/Karjat so we face lots of problem in travelling.In this if we miss 1 train we have to wait for 20-30 min.Now city of Badlapur also conjusted.So this is my request to manager that increase more number of train for Badlapur.

                        There are no Double Fast Local Trains from Departing from Dombivli in the morning between 8:AM to 10:AM, wht all fast trains halt at dombivli comes totally crowded. so Dombivli commuters have to do very dangerous fight for getting in the trains people hang in the door & go even ladies.

                        since there should be sufficient number of Double Fast Locals leaving from Dombivli.

(a major cross connection between Central, Western & Kokan Railway) But still there is no local train connectivity. And we have to face lot of problem daily students, service class people, patients, small business people & labors has to travel for their daily deeds.

                        Central Railway — low frequency of slow trains in peak hours

                        Dear Sir/Madam,

                        This is Smital, a regular travellar of central railway from dombivali from past 9 years. I appreciatel maximum trains are now 12 cars and increase of frequncy of fast trains on peak hours. However,there are hardly slow trains between 8.00 a.m. to 10.00 a.m. with the gap of average 15-20 min. Due to which station like dombivali which is overcrowded in peak hour is facing hell lot of problems daily. Due to very less frequency of slow trains all public diverted to fast trains. Specially people get up at this door at dombivali and wanted to get down from another door at Thane in fast trains. People getting literally crushed, injured badly sometimes. Its a horrible experience to travel at this time daily at the start of the day. People from mumbra, Kalwa hardly get chance to catch the train. Its my humble request increase the frequency of slow trains as well during office peak hrs 8 to 10 a.m.
                        Iam a regular traveller by 1st class between Badlapur & CST since last 7-8 years, often the problem arises while travelling beyond Dombivili or Kalyan, as there are no TTs beyond 1st class compartment gets crowded & we as such find it difficult to travel. Also such is the case that my ticket hasnt been checked since many months that i can recollect.Please do look into the matter.

                        There is a much need to increase the frequency of trains between Panvel and Vasai.Traveling really becomes difficult on Saturdays and Sundays .Government has increase only 2 trains this year which is insufficient as per needs.
                        The traffic on this route has increased so much that a train is needed every hour.At least there should be more frequency on Saturdays and Sundays.I think most of the people avoid this route because of poor availability of frequency.

                        Just want to share the inefficiency of the Railway Department. Its about Vikhroli station. There are three ticket counters one at West attached to Platform Number 1 and two counters attached to Platform Number 4 ie. One at CST end and Other at Thane End. Presently Railways has recruited many new staff who has no discipline to speak with the passenger at the Ticket counter as they know that they are the permanent staff member of Railways and no one is bothered about the complaints and no action is to be taken. Secondly at morning 6 to 7 the tickets counter on platform number 4 are closed. God knows when they get open. Only platform number 1 is open. The older, disabled person who has to catch the train from platform number 2, he or she has to cross the bridge from east platform number 4 to west platform number 1, stand in queue, purchase the ticket and then back from the FOB to platform number 2 to catch the train. This is ridiculous, Does this Railway staff will know such concerns of the people and try to solve it. Who will take responsibility to change this. Please let know.

                        There is much need to increase the frequency of local train from pen to panvel as thousands of students were travelling daily for their school and colleges, but not even single train is available in the school or college time.so, it is kind request to central railway to please increase the frequency of local train to panvel from pen.

                        This refers to an recent article regarding this proposed Escalator at Vikhroli Station.

                        It has been that CR would construct an Escalator for the convenience of commuters at Vikhroli moving from E2W & W2E, Perhaps your engineers have not tried the existing bridge, it takes > 20 minutes to traverse this distance since the bridge is chocopacked specially when a train comes on platform # 1 & 2, still worse is when at this time the local school stats & closes it takes >than 30 minutes.

                        Now can some one explain how can your Rs 75 Lakh Escalator that is 6 mt in ht & 1 mt in width help.
                        1.The average height of any overhead FOB is > 8 meters. How will your 6 mt in ht escalator help. Unless you have a progressive ramp, attached to it Take my advice you either have a ramp or an escalator & the 1 mt in width will certainly not help.
                        2.1 mt perhaps because the people would like to hold a railing on a moving escalator.
                        BUT WOULD 6 mts OF YOUR ESCALATOR HELP
                        Im sure you would like to re-look into your proposal.

                        Hi,

                        I am daily traveller from Dombivali to Byculla.There is very less frequency of local train in the morning.prior to the new time table we catch 8.43 Semi fast train in morning from Dombivali. It is slow up to thane then Mulund, Ghatkopar, Dadar & byculla. the said train is comfortable for us to travel. Due to the revised time table the aforesiad train stops at Vikroli (instead of Ghatkopar)& Kurla (Additional Halt). Since the prior trains are not stopping at kurla the aforesaid train is fully crowded & very difficul to get in & Standing hence request you to change the same to one halt of either Vikhroli & Ghatkoper instead of Kurla.

                        Please increase frequency of Dombivli local Trains going to Mumbai CST&amp; Dadar...ecspeacially in morning peak hours, there should be a train in every 10 mins duration in morning 8-10 AM as Dombivli happens to be very very crowded, where by peoples cannot board in the trains coming from down stations as they come fully filled with crowd .. Also there are no double fast trains starting from Dombivli, this can be done by leveraging other side of Plat no5 as there is a 6th Track, though its for mail express passing, but in morning in idle time it can be used for running Double fast Trains starting from Dombivli to CST/Dadar.
                        due to min. nos. of train from pen to panvel, people's are facing lot of problem.please increase in nos. of train .
                        It is very much necessary to increase the train frequency between Badlapur and CST. It is now almost being impossible to commute by train. Everyday it is like a fight to board on a train or to getting down from a train. It sucks.

                        Is any one is checking these problems?


                        WE NEED MORE TRAIN SPECIALLY DURING OFFICE HOURS AT LEAST IN 10 minutes frequency.

                        PLEASE INCREASE ONE MORE TRAIN FROM PEN TO PANVEL INBETWEEN 8 TO 9 HRS BECAUSE THERE IS NO TRAIN FACILITIES AVAILABLE IN BETWEEN AFTER 6 HRS TO 11.30 HRS.
                        I travel from ulhasnagar to ghatkopar. I want to raise attention of central raiway on following points which I guess every commuter is concerned of: -
                        1. For KHOPOLI/KARJAT/BADLAPUR route train frequency is very much poor as compared to no. of commuters Frequency of other trains like THANE/DOMBIVLI/KALYAN is very much high since it has been increased over the years; but since many years LONG DISTANCE trains (KHOPOLI/KARJAT/BADLAPUR) which carries huge crowds has less frequency. We actually need trains at least for every 15minutes. Increase no. of trains in morning hrs towards up-side-CST and in evening towards down-side - KARJAT. Further request to you to extend dombivli or kalyan trains to ambernath/badlapur/karjat/khopoli..
                        Commuters from other stations mostly travel by these long distance trains; since these are fast and KALYAN ot THANA trains are mostly slow or semi-fast. As a result, longer distance trains get overcrowded and people who have to travel longer distance and who catches train from overcrowded station like dadar, thane or ghatkopar are not able to board train as space is already occupied by short distance traveller. So please extend the shorter distance train so tht longer distance traveller get some more trains are not required to keep waiting for 20 to 25 minutes for next train...

                          Subject: Complaint regarding the inadequate ticket books faclilities and arrogant attitude by the ticket counter staff at Vashi Station

                          Respected Sir,


                          On 13th May 2009 I rushed to Vashi station by around 7:15 am since I wanted to travel from Vashi to Bandra, I planned to catch 7:27 am Andheri train.

                          I was not having coupon booklet so I inquired at the ticket window where the lady staff at the ticket window said me she don’t have the ticket coupon.

                          When I asked her will I get the coupon she didn’t replied me then the passenger in the ticket queue said me you will get it in the next counter I immediately rushed to the next window and I inquired to the staff in next window regarding the coupon he said coupon book of Rs 50/- is available so I immediately handed him 100Rs/- note by that time lady staff next to him prompted him not to give me the coupon.

                          On listening this he started behaving rudely he said me to give the change I said him I don’t have the change then he said me then take your money back we also don’t have change.

                          I said him that I will miss the train he suggested me I can take the next train, I explained him Andheri train after 7:27 am is at 8:15 am and I will be late, since I was suppose to reach by 8:15 to the seminar in Bandra.
                          Still he kept me waiting till almost 7:25 am and rather paying attention to me kept giving the tickets to other passengers, I said him since lot of passengers are giving him the change he can give the change of Rs 50/- back from that to me but he was not ready and by 7:25 am he gave me the coupon book.

                          Immediately I took the the coupon rushed to Ticket validating machine, I punched the ticket and rushed
                          (literally running) to the last platform to catch the train.

                          There would have been no problem of running and catching the train had I been not the seven months pregnant lady.

                          Really a great attitude your staff have towards the passengers they don’t even look that the lady is pregnant and still they make me wait in the queue and bcos of them I have to literally run to get the train and the stomach pain I have to suffer in the whole journey after running.
                          Your staff should really be appreciated for this behaviour, even the fellow passengers shows the humanity .
                          Are your staff are not taught how to behave with the passengers.I think they need to get trained in the humanity or behavioral training with the passengers.

                          This is not the first time I was not offered the coupon book by the lady staff at Vashi station but twice or thrice it happened with me. I ignored it but yesterday's event was really horrible and memorable.

                          Is the lady staff not interested in the Railways profit bcos she doesn’t give the ticket booklet and due to this railway only losses the passengers.
                          I don’t understand is that lady has some personal problem with persons asking for coupon book.
                          Or that booklet is not for sale then why it is kept at every station?

                          I have never experienced this situation for last 25 years in Western train, but I think this is really horrible experience which I will be remember of.

                          I was going to complain this to the railway officer about there behaviour but since I was to rush to the seminar so couldn’t complain.

                          Being Vashi resident, now I will have to think twice before going to the Vashi stn to get the coupon booklet no idea with what lady will humiliate me with..

                          Really bad but true experience.

                          Hope the necessary steps are taken on this issue.

                          as you sow so shall you reap. i dont think anybody and especially a pregnant lady politely asks for a service and gets arrogant behaviour in return.
                          personally talking about myself whenever i go at any public office i bear in mind that if i am informed and polite i will get polite and decent behavior in turn. no government official is automatically instigated to behave rude. It is our frame of mind that either works wonders or blunders.
                          i dont mean we should be submissive or aggressive. let us all educated people think positively that we should first excercise our duty before claiming our rights. we should bear in mind that all the government services are highly subsidized so it is wrong to think that we are 'paying' for the service, we are only contributing to the government for helping the soceity.
                          relly do some for this, because we also suffer lato of time.
                          Complant regarding atvm card

                          my atvm card (smart car) is out of order since last 15 days . i visited vashi station counter, dadar station ticket counter, wadala station ticket counter and vt ststion ticket counter but i did not get replacement of card or refund of my deposit of 50/- . what action should i take to avail my facilities of the same card, looking for your positive reply.

                            Dear Sir,

                            This is to get to your notice that in my short Travel to Mumbai - Lonavala - Mumbai in the AC Chair car Compartment I observed that all common season pass holders could get in and be seated without any objection from the TC.

                            What I fail to understand is the fact that rates have been hiked for special facilities like an AC to not only give comfort but safety as well. If all season pass holders could enter and take seats why are we paying extra for an AC Cahir car; can't we travel with seasons ticket rates as well?

                            This is not a one time incident. There has been proper through and fro from Kalyan Karjat in these compartments. It is so uneasy for a lone lady traveller to sit in midst of this weiry crowd and get off the train like we do in a second class pushing people around.

                            I request you to kindly look into this matter as this will not only save inconvenience for people like me but earn railways a good amount of fine money if the TC in this part of IR pay attention to their job.

                            dear sir,

                            every day i am doing up & down from virar to churchgate,

                            i want to take your attention do not halt the virar fast train from some station like, marinedrive, charni road & grant road, directly stop to mumbaicentral than, dadar, bandra, andheri than bhayander after that all last to virar,

                            bcz every slow train is halt at marinr drive to grant road than need to stop fast train at that stop bcz nobody getting off on this station.

                            and coming from virar there already had borival train to come up to borival than need to stop train at all station,

                            directly halt it to andheri bcz no body getting off from that station,

                            if those who want to go borivali they can get that train and even they stop at all station

                            and you had bhayander fast also they will stop at borivali.


                            if you do like that so u people can save at half an hour for virar fast train

                            please look in this matter as soon as possible.

                            and pleasee decrease the frequeny of train.
