Sue the buggers... I got the same letter. enquired about the phone numbers. They are not Emporio Armani's. And Why should we get clearence from UK police when we never went to UK.

I have also received this letter 2 days ago offering me a sales manager position. Cooper Frost is not listed as a lawyer with Danielle Cohen Solicitors. D.H.C is a legitimate legal firm. I have emailed Danielle Cohen to verify who is Cooper Frost - still waiting for a reply.

With the world-wide recession, there are many people hoping to get good paying jobs. If this is an elaborate scam, then many people will will be duped into paying for a job that does not exist.
I hope the law catches up with these scoundrels.

I also received same offer letter / contract for 3 yrs. How and why is anyone supposed to get UK police clearancwe when the person has never gone there earlier?? I had smelled a scam right from the first email and now all the comments and them asking the 'would be' employee to pay for the ACRO - this is definitely a scam and these buggers should be punished.

I have searched a lot about "Emporio Armani" in google and found much and to tell you the truth is...

1. its a fake offer letter if you do a little bit research you can get to know that no point of time no employer ask for money for anything plus never a Big Org final their employee like this way.

2. If you seen the sign of the concern person its don't look a sign why because once you zoom in the pd[censored] can get to find the crack in his sign itself and even in his name itself .

3.If you type for the group md name in google you will not get any thing as "what i belive is this is combination of two person so, person don't a organic man. "

4.If you ask to Naukri or Monster or even search for their name you will not get any listing? then how did they get you?

5.Never belive on this and please never share any your bank data with them and don't send any single money to them.

I also got the same offer letter from Owen Reeves asking me to sign the contract and send it back to them and a copy to their "legal" solicitor. And I did send the signed copy to both of them. In reply I got a mail from barrister Cooper Frost wherin he stated that the charges for obtaining the ACRO police certificate is 650 pounds

Transport and fare of solicitor=80 pounds
Application fees (premium service)=500 pounds
courier fees=70 pounds

Total= 650 pounds

And the attached form was version May '09.

When I cross-checked and did some research, latest version of the form i.e. September '09 was also available on the net and the charges for procuring police certificate is only 70 pounds (premium service). But that is for UK residents. I am not sure if the same form can be used for non-UK residents. It is also doubtful that the non-UK residents can avail the ACRO police certificate, provided they have stayed in the UK in the (recent) past. Moreover, a passport size photograph is also required to be sent which will be signed by the person known to us in the UK (according to http://www.acpo.police.uk/Certificates%5CApplication%20form%20pdf.pdf). But in the form that I received as a pdf attchment, there is no mention of photo. One more noteworthy point is in the form (link), there is nothing called "version" of the form.

These charges may include the charges of the law firm, services that the lawyer will provide, provided the barrister is associated with the Danielle Cohen Solicitors.

I am still thinking as to what can be done about this...

-- Generally they don't work on Saturdays/Sundays, but i got a reply mail on saturday !!!

I have also received the same letter from Mr.Owen reeves as a Brand Manager to the organisation. Even Mr.Cooper Frost the Barrister send me a certificate for agreement which was supposed to be collected from UK.The total cost for the agreement certificate is 750pounds.If they are fake and I beleive they are, we must join hands to teach them a lesson such that they wont dare to cheat us.
Still its a matter of concern that why Armani group is not taking any action to these buggers?

I have got exactly the same letter from the company for the vacancy of Showroom Supervisor. I had a doubt relating to the sudden lucrative offer even without a single interview and any detailed details taken. Moreover the company has its stores in India as well which means that they must be having their administrative unit in India as well. Hence they could atleast give a contact person or number for clarifications which we require, but its not happening. I agree with Deepak that we should not let these people lead our youth in the wrong way by offering a pie to attract them and them render them option less, once fallen into the trap. It will be a shame for us indeed...

I got the same letter and investigated from london about this matter and came to know that this is fake.

yes this is fake you can zoom and see the signature got pixelated and their seal was under the address no on does work like dat without any interview how can they recruit you without any interview that too a top retailers????and you can see the spelling mistakes of that attachment they pronounce it as armani emperio but it is armani emporio. you can see different font size used in travel documents paragraph. i am sure this is fake pleas be careful and share what ever you find odd in that order.

Mode Of Payment:

As soon as payment is done, it is necessary that you send us the scanned copy of the payment slip for the confirmation of your payment as same shall be submitted to the Court along with your Filled Affidavit of Guarantee application form and your item of identification.

Please note that once you receive this application form, you are to fill and return along with the processing charges and the supporting documents ASAP to enable us get your Affidavit fully procured and submitted to your Employer on time.

NOTE: Incomplete submission of the above requirements will lead to the denial of the issuance of the Affidavit of Guarantee by the Crown Court because all the requirements are mandatory to be submitted.

the same letter has came to me & i was very excited then i have called my coucin who stays in UK he told me that there is group of naigerians who can do this . then i have checked on google & have called @ Armani Store in London exactly the add mention in the letter, they told that they are not aware of it. so all those whor recieved the letter be Safe . Save Indian. who ever is doing this UK GOVT has to take necessary Action Regarding this Matter .

Hi everyone. Loopholes galore !
Infact so many that there are more holes than there is paper on which the appointment letter has been printed. I recieved this letter some days back and couldnt believe my luck. A la Jim Carrey in Mask...Do I feel lucky ????? Was not to be...Am still to verify the authenticity of the offer but even before I do that, I am sure it cant be SIMPLY.
