My Customer ID is [protected] and Consumer ID is [protected]. CESC could not take meter readings at the end of Sep due to water-logging. CESC sent a bill for Sep-21 (dated 10th Oct) with an assumed 477 units consumed whereas my actual consumption was less than 200 units. Consequently, my bill amount was much higher due to higher price slab. I sent multiple mails [protected]@rpsg.in since then. No response.
I spoke to the customer care team on 22nd Oct. I was advised not to pay the bill as the next meter reading will happen soon and I will get a "corrected" bill for a 2 month period using average consumption.
Meter reading did take place in Oct end. But, to my surprise, I received a bill for Oct-21 (dated 11th Nov) which shows the same reading of 45473 as it appeared in the previous bill. Oct bill amount remains same as the disputed Sep bill (Rs 4140). As on 20th Nov, my actual meter reading is 45328. My average units consumed for last 2 billing month period should not exceed 150 units whereas CESC is billing me at a higher slab taking fictitious consumption of 477 units.
This is unethical for CESC to ignore actual meter reading, assume some fictitious higher reading and derive undue benefit of higher price slab.
I have tried contacting CESC numerous times thru email, customer care number, and chatbot of their website. CESC has not responded back. So pathetic and callous organization it has become. Was this information helpful? |
