I booked at least 25 or more airline tickets through Cleartrip till date. The first time I am trying to cancel a ticket and this is what happens. To cancel flight tickets for just one person from each of the trip IDs I have mentioned above, I went online to check the refund amount and it showed me Rs.1710/- per pax. Since I thought this amount is very low (return ticket fare was 6710/-) I called up the ClearTrip Customer Care and asked them to just confirm the refund amount. They said I will be getting Rs. 2210/-. Even after telling them online refund amount shows 500 bucks less. They confirmed this a multiple times, that the refund amount will be Rs. 2210/-, and that there might be some technical problem online. So I went ahead and cancelled the bookings through phone. It took 40 mins to cancel one ticket, total of I Hr 20 Mins to cancel tickets over phone. The email confirmation which I got from ClearTrip showed me a refund amount of Rs. 1710/- for each person. I called up to check if it was any technical error, 15 mins after cancelling, they suddenly change words. They say "sorry for miss-information". You'll get only that amount now. Looks like in the job description of customer care, ClearTrip Tells them to [censored] to every person that rings the phone.
Wasted money, wasted time for absolutely nothing. I could've rather done this online in just 5 minutes.
If I booked the tickets directly on the airline website they deduct only Rs. 3700/- for this. But here cleartrip deducted Rs. 1300/- as their cancellation amount.
I might never book a flight tickets on cleartrip ever again.

Please be assured that we will honor the refund as informed by our phone representative and refund the balance amount of Rs 500 for each of the two trip ids. The refund will be processed back into the same mode of payment used for booking the reservation, within next 5 working days.
