I bought a bridal lehenga for my fiance for the wedding. Before buying it we asked them more than once whether the blouse is long one, he repeatedly said that it was a long blouse and the material is enough for a long blouse. When we visited our tailor she said the material is for a short blouse and a long blouse cannot be stitched with the material provided.
We immediately called the store manager and spoke to him, he said he will return the money if it was a mistake by the store. We went to the store, the store manager asked us to wait for 10mins, we waited for some time and then they started saying he is not in the store. Later they started abusing us by saying we are uneducated, threw the blouse on the floor and made a big fuss in the store.
We both have double degrees from American universities and we are NRI's but the treatment we got here makes us feel that India should have better consumer rights.
We need a written apology from the store manager and also return the money for we will return the blouse material we received from them. Was this information helpful? |
