Wait to sample the blood until the meter indicates it is ready.

Hi Sir, My Accu check active always shows battery icon even after changing the battery. Once the strip inserted code will display and the at time of droplet icon display, it shows battery icon with full black.

I purchased an Accu-chek Active Monitor in July 2011. i has been working fine until recently. It was displaying an E-5 error message and now it trips off after acknowledging the strip code. How do i deal with this issue. please i am in Nigeria and i don't know what to do next. I am insulin dependent as i have type 1 diabetes. i don't like taking my drugs blindly so i need a solution to my monitor problems immediately. please i need assistance from you. thank you.

Every time I put the strip E-5 appears I changed the battery, also I cleaned the machine and make sure that the strip is up to date and not expired
The problem remain
Any advice to solve this problem

Clean the sensor-hole of the machine with clean and soft cleaning-bud.

In my glucometer display is not working when i insert the strip. But i can able to set date & time, i can able to see the previous stored readings. Please help me to sort out the problem.

It happened??

E-5 may be an error code if the blood glucose meter has been subjected to severe electromagnetic radiation or too much light on the blood glucose meter, but may also be due to incorrect date setting.
Change space, go to shade, or shade your blood sugar meter, or set the correct date (and time).
Set Date:
Press the S button for at least 3-4 seconds.
Then press the S button and change the value with M.

i have purchased Accu-chek strips a month before(not expired yet), when i try to use it in the meter. it is shown as E-5 errror. I have re-tried after cleaning it, also from shade place. it doesnt help me.
