I have 2 numbers from Airtel. Primary number is [protected]. However Airtel called me and asked to to pay a bill for another third number which I do not own. I asked the agent to log a complaint and informed that I have only two numbers and I am a very old customer with very good record of paying regular bills, therefore requested to deactivate any other third number if any. He informed to not to worry. After some time I again received a call and this was repeated again. They informed me that the third number is on my name however the address differs and is under of some office address in Ghaziabad.
I again requested him to call that number owner and request for address proof. I suspect some person/agency used my documents to have this number, which I submitted for some purpose . What upset me the most is that why Airtel did not verify the photo Id and address proofs? I have informed them that this person might be misusing this number for unfair means and I may be held responsible so please deactivate the number and ask the person to meet in person with documents so they can verify. However this number is still active and running under me name. Please help, I may disclose the number some responsible authority approach me and ready to help me or do I go and launch a FIR against the owner and Airtel. I have also tried to log a complaint in Airtel website however it did not give me the right category and moreover it does not allow to describe the details. Seems that they don’t want anyone to log a complaint at all. I have also sent an email to [protected]@bharti.in, but I have no expectations from them. Was this information helpful? |
