Airtel Digital TV Customer Care Sucks
I have been calling Airtel Digital TV Customer Care no. [protected] since yesterday to change my monthly package from Ultra to Mega. Almost for 25 times I have been made waiting to connect the customer care executive but after almost average of 10-12 minutes no one cares to talk. I have written 2 mails to [protected]@airtel.in since today morning but except an automated email response nothing has happened. It really sucks man. I am compelled to believe that Airtel Digital TV Customer Care has no executive other than automated email response and telephonic voice.
My customer id is [protected].
I would be glad if somebody even by mistake care to respond from the the customer care.
Sunil Mittal knows only business expansion, and has no sense o[censored]pdating his service in terms of customer satisfaction.

Iam preeti yeri fed up of airtel digi tvs call centre's procedure n their installation team.
They took 10 days time to just rectify the change of adress n now when that is done, the team has installed our antenna to the window grill without considering the wind pressure, they r only brothered about the signal.AIRTEL TV does not inspect the site prior, they just come see the angle n install it.with out considering anyother details.
They even do not have different means of tools, like different types of rods, clamps etc for installation, they use same 3 rods everywhere.
If the customer does not get permission on terrace they do not have any other means of tools so that it can be fitted somewhere on the wall by tilting n twisting the rod, so that proper signal can be adopted.By this they will loose their customer who ultimately say no to the tv n opt for the one which is avaible in the society.
My antenna is at risk of falling any time due to wind pressure, which they r not rectifying since more than 15 days saying no where else signal is avaible.Can they not bring different of rods with different angles so that we get signal.I will held airtel digi tv responsible if some accident occur for not considering wind pressure properly.

AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — No transmission since last 9 days
Sir,This is Abhijeet Sharma ( Customer ID [protected]). I got a new connection
installed under the Samsung LCD Offer at my residence 312 D.D.A Flats,Khirki,Malviya Nagar, New Delhi-17 on 13/09/09. Firstly the connection was registered in the wrong name & address. Secondly the package was wrongly registed coz of which midnight 21/09/09 the telecast went off. I registered a complained on 22/09/09 & was commited by the customer care executive that the same would be resolved in 48 Hours. Even after 72 hours when the problem was not resolved I called up the Customer Care again & was requested to give another 24 hrs. It's almost been 9 days now and the problem has not been resolved till date.indly intervene in the matter & take necessary action at the earliest or else i would be forced to take some strangent steps against the organisation.
Waiting for a quick response from your end.

Nobody cares to respond. Its completely frustrating. They only have time to call other prospective customers day n night and not even bother to think of existing ones...

Absolutely useless company for digital tv. I have been calling them many times. every time I am told someone will contact me. No one calls me. On top of it they send me sms asking if I am satisfied with the service. even I type unsatisfied noone calls me. I have not seen a more useless incompetent and pathetic organization. Better close shop and do something else.
if it rains for two minutes, signal off...during Monsoon shut off your TV if you are on airtel digital tv

I think I did biggest mistake by going with Airtel Digital TV and I recommend each and everyone who reads this forum to go with Doordarshan but not Airtel Digital TV. The most pathetic service anyone can imagine.

The customer care people can hardly communicate with their IQ close to ZERO.
Their processes for relocation are extremely impractical with tonnes of loop-holes for the engineers to play around and manipulate the system. It causes extreme inconvenience to customers.
I went to the extent of finding the Head for Service Delivery on LinkedIn and sending him a message for help... but...
In case, if anyone at Airtel Digital TV is hearing the voice of customers, the request #s I have lodged are 6522033 and 6358320 to be looked into.

Truly Airtel's HR Director Krish Shanker has his task cut out. Somebody called me a short while ago and tells me whenever there is inclement weather to call them and their engineer would come and do the needful! Either they dont believe me or they dont have a mechanism at their end which tells them that the transmission has stopped at our end.
Also their misleading mobile alerts about my balance status would continue to come. They can't stop it. Only way to stop these alerts is to maintain a balance of Rs. 60/- at all times.
This basically comes down to maintain alerts or we'll make your life hell with mobile alerts! How interesting.

Airtel digital TV really sucks.
last 5 days i am trying to add a top up (which suddenly stop working and i was told it will be free for 3 months), and all my efforts are in vain. it does not work via SMS, it does not work online. and if by grace of God, Customer care executive will pick your call ( after waiting for 10 minutes), then they say sorry our system is not working., please call after sometime.
it is really sucking, i am moving out of it.

Yesterday there was again signal problems but to may amazement that chap's phone was switched off...well not be much amazement though...yes, we too are bidding goodbye to M/s Airtel shortly...
Hi - I have airtel digital tv connection. I added a request with Airtel to add "Movies Now" channel to my package. The customer care mentioned that to add this channel, my dish antenna has to be realigned. They took a request and there was no response from airtel engineers thereafter. I then repeated calls for a period of 2 weeks and finally a engineer came and realigned the antenna. In the process, the engineer charged me saying that the tranponder is very old and needs to be replaced. Not sure how a transponder could go all of a sudden when I was able to see the channels without any difficulty. Anyways they fixed the new transponder, realigned the dish antenna and I was able to watch the "Movies Now" channel.
After few days, I started having another problem. Some of the channels such as Zee studio, Movies Now, PIX, MTV, V channel, Star Cricket were having broken signal quite often (The picture and sound was something similar to when u run a scratched DVD). I called the customer care and gave my compliant on April 15. There was no response from them. I then called them again on April 23rd, they recorded a fresh compliant and promised me that they will send someone the same day. I got no response. I called them again on 26th and this time I escalated the call to a supervisor and he promised to send someone by 6PM the same day. But again I got no response. I called the customer care again on May 12th and spoke to the supervisor again. Explained them the whole problem. They promised me the same nonsense again, but I still see no action being taken.
Basically I am paying Rs 330 odd to subsribe my fav channels and I am unable to view them since the reception is not clear. I have spent many hours talking to this airtel customercare and even if their engineers had spent 10% of that effort in fixing my problem, I would have had my problem fixed long back.
I was previously owning "Zee's DishtV" set. I was not happy with their service and that is the reason I switched to airtel. Honestly Airtel's digital TV service is even more pathetic. A horrible experience so far. The best part is once a compliant is lodged they dont even follow-up with the customer to check if the problem was resolved. Everytime it is me who calls them up and explains the problem. More irritating part is the customer care puts you on hold for a long time, in some cases the line gets disconnected and I have to start all over from the begining and wait for a long time in the queue.
I have airtel mobile connection and broadband connection. I should say I had decent experience with their service and that was the reason I chose to switch from "Zee's dishtv" to Airtel Digital TV. Sadly their service has detiorated so pathetically that I cant recommend airtel to anyone anymore. My brother has Tata sky and he seems to have a decent experience so far. If the current problem continues, I have made a decision to switch to Tata Sky. To hell with Airtel's service. If they happen to see this compliant, the customer id is [protected] and hoping that some action will be taken.

IT IS INDEED THE WORST I GUESS. I AM THINKING OF SHARING INFORMATION WITH THE ENTIRE FRATERNITY. THEIR BILLING MECHANISM IS JUST PERFECT. ONCE YOUR BALANCE GETS NEGATIVE THEY DONT EVEN CARE TO INTIMATE THE CUSTOMER BY A COURTESY CALL AND IMMEDIATELY DISCONNECT THE LINE AND THIS APPLIES TO AIRTEL MOBILE POST PAID CUSTOMERS OF MORE THAN 7 YEARS LIKE US. THEY DONT CARE TO FIND OUT BEFORE DISCONNECTING THAT THE CUSTOMER IS OUT OF STATION OR NOT FOR WHICH HE MAY HAVE FAILED TO RECHARGE.

Dish TV — Customer care sucks
Dish TV customer care is actually a customer harassing center.Their quality is very poor and all the executives are pathetic.They don't know anything and I was surprised that one of their executive had never visited their company's website and I had to guide him about the problems in their website.
PLEASE AVOID AIRTEL DIGITAL. THEY ARE BIG TIME CHEATS. IF THERE IS LITTLE RAIN, SIGNAL GOES OFF. THEN THEY SAY THEY ARE GOING TO SEND THEIR "ENGINEER" AND THAT RS. 100/- EVERY TIME HE VISITS. THIS IS A BIG BUSINESS BY THEM TO MAKE RECURRING MONEY.
PLEASE DO NOT GO FOR AIRTEL DIGITAL IF YOU ARE INTERESTED TO WATCH YOUR IPL MATCHES REGULARLY.

If you are going for Airtel Digital service, be prepared for the consequences. Customer care service will ask you to wait for more than 2 hours till the match gets over :-( . Without any valid reason they tell some technical issue. And getting the customer care connection is also a nightmare in the busy hours.
