I purchased Airtel DTH on 08 may 2010, but only after one week i.e 15 May, the TV went blank without any signals. I have been repeatedly making complains about the issue but nobody turned up till now.
Above that they have closed my case saying that the issue is resolved. So every time I call them they give me a new Complaint number saying that the complaint I made earlier is resolved and we are taking this as new complain. This way I have been given 4 Service request number for the same complain which has not been resolved even once.

Whenever I call them they assure me that someone will reach me within 2 hours. But no one turned till now. The irony of the situation is that they even threaten to drop your call if you don’t keep it.

This is too much of harassing. They are taking things for granted thinking that no one can do any thing to them.

I dont want to continue with their services, please get my money back.

DishTV — Disgusting service....

I bought this conneciton from bigbazar. It has been 15 days no installation has been done. If we call customer service then most of the times they are disconnecting the call and any time I didn't spoke to supervisor. Very poor

DishTV — Disgusting customer service

The customer service of DIshtv is really of the lowest standard that I have ever seen.
I had registered a complaint with them to dismantle the antennae on 20-7-08( complaint no:[protected]. Some guy simply put it as resolved!!! On 22nd I had to re-register the complaint[protected].As of today no one has called up. The most horrible part is the way the call centre guys speak. They are the most disgusting bunch of ever found. If you cant understand a word of English how the hell do u land up in a call center? I have had enough of their crap.The only problem is the complicated manner of lodging a formal complaint against these guys.
My suggestion to anyone listening - DONT EVER GO FOR DISHTV.
We have a taken a Dish TV connection with common TV antena for our society about 8 months back. In this Monsson the signals are very weak. Even a small wind or rain, the signals become weak which turns either no channels or disturbed view. Recently, even the Antenna also unearther from foundation due to the rains. This is how the quality of Installation. Another problem is the quality of SET TOP BOX. From the past three months, Set top box is not getting ON once it switches ON. Initially it was taking 15-20 min. for getting ON (It Blinks initially) and now more than 2 hrs. The samer problem is is faced by most of our neighbours. Local service provider says to go to their service centre and handover the box for repair and says it may take time to repair or replace. We need immediate replacemnet, again with 1 year guarantee from the date of replacement. Else we end up paying for box every 6 months for repalcement after guarantee period. Pls look in to the matter. Else it is difficult to continue with your service.

Dish TV — disgusting customer service

WARNING FOR PROSPECTIVE DISH TV CUSTOMERS:

if you want to get into the most disgusting, delayed and non-responsive service in the history of mankind, go ahead and make the mistake of applying for a Dish TV connection. even the basic of services like the installation of the set up box has not been done by the so-called promt and fasty service providers after 3 weeks and i[censored] hav made the mistake of making a payment before the installation, then u can kiss youur money good-bye. because for the first time ever for any services, to my dismay, i found that the kind people at Dish tv doesnt have the system of refund. well i have done my duty here in informing you all about the evils of Dish Tv...now its upon you to decide whether you want to fall into the SCAM called Dish tv or stay miles away and be happy!!

BIG TV — Bloody service good for nothing

BIG TV guys are good for nothing, they dont know how to satisfied the customer bloody guys.Beggers.Their CC executive is good for only opening complaints and closing that with out solve the problem.I dont know how much customer is satisfied with bloody BIG TV

I bought Airtel Digital TV in Nov'08 (Customer ID-[protected]) considering Airtel (Bharati) a pioneer in the field of Communication and expecting the same in Entertainment. But all my pre-assumptions are gone within six months of my experience with them. First of all, one has to wait for ages to get through to their toll free number (Look at the irony- while waiting in anger, you would also listen the message that we are valued customer!!!). I gave a request on 12th December to activate one of the Sports channel packages to see a match. Despite my repeated calls the channel didn't get activated for the whole day. Since the reason to activate the channel was gone, I called up the call centre again to de-activate it, which has not been de-activated till date and money is getting deducted from my account.

But the real agony is the response you receive from the call centre guys for lodging any of your complaints. I have spoken to multiple people this week (Ms. Shalini, Ms. Manju, Mr. Surendra to name few) who don't have any information with them. And while you ask them to forward the call to their Seniors or Team Leaders they keep you wait for hours and then disconnect.

This is your reward of assuming Airetl a pioneer!!

I have used Tata Sky and Dish TV in past and can serious vouch for the fact that Airtel doesn't even stand nearby compared to their competitors.

I hope somebody is listening to the consumers and can tell Airtel Authorities to give some attention to their existing clients/ business rather than trying partnerships with MTN to go global.

My Airtel Digital TV customer ID is - [protected]

This is a warning for all new airtel DTH customer that henceforth do not even think of Airtel DTH, dont ever suggest any one to buy airtel DTH as after sale service is pathetic, i would say eevn BSNL is far ahead in case of service comaparison. I got the first airtel DTH in Jammu. Recently i got transferred to chandigarh. befor coming to chandigarh i deposited Rs300 in their account and got slot for de installation, but no one visited my address and finally after regular follow up with the customer care i did de installation myself. Then while i was coming back to chandigarh i asked them to install my services next day. But a new era of manatal harassment started with the customer care. I specifically gave then then new address but they did not turned up. After 4 days of regular follow up i got call from backend team and he gave me the ZSM name and number. I called him up and even after following yup with him engineer came next day in evening.

After around 6 days my set top stopped working and i complaint to them in morning and they said by same day evening it will be resolved. As usal no body turned up and i again made call to them in evening. The reply that i got was shocking they said " You were not there when there engineer visited home" . I asked which addres did you visited, they said Jammu. i said boss if i have installed your services at chandigarh what is the fun visiting jammu address. After this i had word with senior Pramod who convinved me that engineer will visit address in evening . At around 4 pm i received call from there backend team and he asked me what is the update. I asked you should be knowing and then he said your jammu address is locked. listening to this i got angry and i asked him to give his ZSM number so that i can talk to him. But to my amaze he abused me and hung up the phone.

Now yesterday evening i have gone to dainik bhaskar and complaintd there. New will get pyublish today.

As a information i am posting this post. Please BE AWARE FROM AIRTEL DTH. THE MOST PATHETIC SERVICE PROVIDER OF THE NATION

Pathetic Customer Service from AIRTEL DIGITAL TV
Dear All,

My Airtel Digital TV customer ID is - [protected]

This is a warning for all new airtel DTH customer that henceforth do not even think of Airtel DTH, dont ever suggest any one to buy airtel DTH as after sale service/ customer care support from airtel is pathetic.

I got DTH in July and requested for new multiple TV connection. I called customer care on 6th Dec, they have informed to first deposit Rs1750/- which I did but they never told me the mode. So I have choosen the easiest way of transferring money using netbanking. After that I called their number for booking the same. I was told to buy voucher not the direct cash deposit. Since I already deposited my one year subscription, I have insisted to use my same money to provide me connection. I talked to their customer care person and their supervisor Mr Rohit. After having arguement for almost 15 minutes, he has confirmed that I will get a call from back end team within 24 hours. I have also requested to correct my address which was wrong in my record. There also, I got confirmation to do it in 24 hours.

In the evening, My connection was disconnected when I called them again they have menitoned that you have booked for relocation. So we have disconnected and now if you want to reconnect, we will charge Rs 200/-. After a long discussion, this matter was sorted out.

I have waited for 5 days. But neither new connection was provided nor my address was corrected. I called again on 11th Dec and insisted for discussion with Manager. I had discusion with Ms Minaxi and she has confirmed that I will get the call in next two hours. Surprisingly this two hour still not got over.

Now my money is lying idle with my account which I can not utilize till Sept'10 and I have asked them to revert the money as I did netbanking unfortunately there is no response from Airtel.

I just wanted to update all to be aware of such malpractices and be careful while taking any decision to take Digital TV. I am not sure, if we need to follow such practices to reach on top in term of revenue generation.

its disgusting to go through each and every same step when we call the customer care

I dont think any one should go for airtel, its worst service they give
I feel others are far better, but please dont go for airtel any time

my name is D.V.Subba Rao, iam staying at kelambakkam in chennai, your service engineer told me 6 telugu channels + other some of channels will come at the time of setup box was installed. i was taken a package Rs 2790 for one yearin december 2009 but now i am not getting the telugu channels every day i am calling to your customer care but no one give a solution for me. really i dont know why it was happened like that if kindly give the solution for me as early as possible
or otherwise you can remove the setup box, why people are doing like that ok finally i want to see 6 telugu channels continuously upto 1 year and 3 days back i topup setmax also that one also will continue up to 3 months

I also got a call from head office from the number[protected] and the person replied me - THIS IS NOT YOUR FATHERS FARM SO ANY ONE COMES TO YOUR HOME WHEN YOU WANT. I am surprise to hear from customer care team.
after almost 4 complain raised the engineer visited my home and also not at right time which CC team gives me, He told me as there is a problem in your TV its not the fault of Digital TV then I try frm my VCD and at that time my TV is Running Complate.
Also whenever I called from Customer Care (12150) they always hold my phone after Conversation and cut it down my call. Kindly suggest me that May I still running with ADT or I will switch over to some other Function. I am going to Legal for the Same also.

AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — Customer Service Issue

I called Airtel customer care on June 25th to raise a ticket for adding ESPN HD to my subscription. I was told by customer care execs that Airtel Executive would call me & when he called the line got disconnected. Airtel Executive didnt even call back and the ticket was closed without resolution. I called up the customer care atleast twice a day to fix this issue and every time they put my call on hold and the call gets disconnected. Is this how Airtel treats a customer. I took Airtel Digital TV for good customer service that Airtel provides and its now proving to be a WRONG DECISION. I need a resolution on this issue ASAP.

I am a loyal customer of airtel and have been using the service since long time back but on the since 10oct
10 i have been facing problems as it says that there is no signal I launched a complaint by calling their contact centre, I had a word with a guy called pulasth who gave me a complaint no 415336 but it took him ages for giving me a complaint no.and also he was not aware of the charges for it first he said that it might charge rs400 and then rs 300 for the visit and assured me that the eng would be at my place B 1/ 341 janak puri, new delhi 110058 then I called up again to confirm on the same day had a word with another rep ritika who also assured me the same thing and then on the next day on the 11oct 10 I called up agin in the morning and was assured the same thing that the eng is on the way and would be coming between 10-12 am by agent ravi.
After waiting till 12.45pm I had to call back again to make sure that if the eng is coming or not I was told that the engineer is supposed to come on the 13oct 10 not 11oct 10 which was totally unacceptable as i am also a salaried person I also have work commitment, this is a of total negligence and inconvenience.
I was also promised a call back frm the manager whose name was given to me by harinder another agent
that manager named as nandeshwar will give a call which I never recd.

I would please request this matter to be taken as priority and also I need compensation regarding this matter.

A week ago i have lodged a complaint in customer care and was provided with ref no. 7284351 and was intimated that problem will be solved till evening. From that day i m daily calling customer care and they just make excuses, sometimes system is down, they are not able to process my complaint, while sometimes they slap me with new reference no with a promise to get problem solved at earliest. my latest reference no. is 7323632. in between these days they send me sms that your issue has been resolved although nobdoy has visited my home to solve the problem.
Further they send me local mobile no. [protected] for contact, which is always switched off. earlier aslo it took me month to get set top box replaced, only when submitted the compliant in consumer court.
Airtel digital tv customer service is very very bad, they dont care about there customer . we are suffering from bad set-top box service.There are lots of problem in set-top box till[protected]. we complaining at airtel customer care and service center but there is no action made by company. There is no hope of repairing set top box. If we call in service center people say- We repair your digital tv but today we haven't any engineer, we send engineer tomorrow. but tomorrow is never come. our digital tv validity is going to be finished without watching it. Airtel is worst company while paying service.Last time we submit complain but there is no action. And this time we call lots of time for repairing but there is no action. Do not buy airtel digital tv ever and forever.By mistake we buy it, we are going to broke set-top box.

AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — Airtel Digital TV Pathetic First Impressions

I have bought an airtel digital tv connection on 6th Nov 2011 having 12months Ultra pack for Rs 4490(Cust id : [protected]). As opposed to their claims of installing and activating the connection on the same day, the actual installation happened on 8th Nov 2011 and even after installation the connection is not activated. After 2 hrs of installation i got a call from them that their is balance is too low for Ultra pack and i need to pay additional Rs 360. But why? After that i tried calling their customer care helpline([protected]). Every time i was either hung up after listening to my complaint or the call was getting disconnected from their end. After calling them for more than 7 times and explaining the problem to 7 different people i finally got a reply that backend team is working on it and will get back to you in 24hrs. but still there is no reply. I am really feeling frustrated after all these first impressions with Airtel and planning to approach consumer court if my problem is not seriously looked into. They should either improve their customer relation teams or stop making tall claims in advertisements.

AIRTEL DTH CUSTOMER CARE JUST SUCKS AND THEY ARE GOOD FOR NOTHING. I MADE A BIG MISTAKE BY OPTING FOR AIRTEL DTH. I'M TRYING TO GET A CHANNEL ADDED TO MY PACKAGE SINCE NOVEMBER 2011. BUT THIS REQUIRES RE-ALIGNMENT OF DTH ANTENNA FOR WHICH THEY ARE SAYING THAT AN ENGINEER WILL COME AND DO IT WITHIN 5 BUSINESS DAYS. HALF A YEAR IS PASSED AND THEIR 5 BUSINESS DAYS ARE NOT COMPLETED. EVERY TIME I CALL TO THEIR CUSTOMER CARE THEY ASSIGN A NEW SERVICE REQUEST NUMBER AND 5 DAYS CLOCK STARTS AGAIN. THE LATEST ONE IS 17583282.

ANOTHER THING THEY MADE A CHANGE TO THEIR SOFTWARE WHICH MADE FAVORITE BUTTON UNUSABLE. THEY ARE NOT EVEN READY TO TAKE IT AS COMPLAINT. IF YOU INSIST THEN THEY WILL MAKE ALL KIND OF EXCUSES THAT WE WILL ARRANGE CALL BACK FOR YOU AND THAT CALL WILL NEVER COME. ANOTHER TACTICS THEY USE IS WRITE A ALTOGETHER A DIFFERENT COMPLAINT AND CLOSE IT WITHOUT YOUR CONFIRMATION. CUSTOMERS DON'T MEAN ANYTHING TO THEM.
Thanks, my problem is solved now though I have to rigorously follow up with the execution team.

    My Airtel no : [protected] (a/c no[protected] and having problem since I took the connection.
    Within 4 days STD facility was withdrawn as the outstanding bill crossed the credit limit i.e. even before making any STD calls.
    In the first months bill (bill period 11 July 2008 to 10 Aug 2008) it shown Rs 1107/- as outstanding.
    Connect taken on 14th July 2008
    Connection activated 15th July 2008
    Customer verification by Airtel on 17th July 2008.
    Despite repeated reminder/followup with Airtel representatives Airtel did not pay any attention to rectifying the bill and still asking for the money.
    I had no choice but to discontinue the connection.
    Few weeks back Airtel Initiated petition for Lok Adalat for the same (P.L. Case No. 16357 of 2010). Hon'ble Judges rejected the case as the bills provided by Airtel incorrect and inappropriate. Airtel representative present also agreed that the bill is incorrect.
    The Lok Adalat process initiated by Mr. Himadri Chakraborty(Himadri.[protected]@airtel.in) and Mr. Chandrasekhar Sarkar (advocate).
    Again Mr Chandrasekhar Sarkar sending letters that you've failed to settle the matter in Lok Adalat and still want to pursue legal action. Mr Sarkar or Airtel did not even bother to rectify the bills from their end.
    Please advice whether I should approach to consumer court.

    Airtel — Excessive billing despite repeated reminders

    This is Mohammed Nooruddin from Kolkata.my e-mail id [protected]@gmail.com and my phone number is [protected]. I am using an Airtel broadband connection. I want to discontinue one of their value added service which is called '" WEBSITE STANDARD PACK SCHEME CHARGES" and i have been requesting them to discontinue the service since June, 2010. Everytime i speak on their Helpline Number of 121, i am assured that the service has been scrapped and i will not be bothered by the same again. But the next time I am again charged Rs.250 the next month for this. this has been going on since June and every month they are charging me for a service which i have never used.

    This service as a whole was mis-sold to me. At the time of offering they informed me that it is for free so i accepted the package but after one week was told that it was a mistake and will be charged Rs. 250/month. i said then i dont need this and kindly scrap the service and on the phone i was assured that the service will be scrapped and i took their word. But, to my horror after four months was shocked to see that i am being charged 250.00 every month for a service which i have never used.

    Request you to kindly bring my grievance to the notice of the concerned authority.

      I would like to file a complaint against Bharti Airtel Ltd For the 'financial harassment, mental torture and unethical behavior' for the following matter.

      Sometime before the month of December, I filed a telephonic request to Airtel on 121 for cancellation of my Airtel postpaid Connection Account Number:[protected] for the no. [protected]. I had asked to discontinue my no. and requested for the collection of the payment of my bill amount. I had to relocate to another city for my job assignment and had repeatedly requested for fast processing of the above. I was assured by the call center executive of compliance to my request.

      In the month of December I shifted from Delhi and kept waiting for the confirmation of deactivation of my number so i could do a full and final settlement.Sometime in the month of January, 2010 I learnt that the connection was yet not discontinued. I called up the customer care and requested again for the discontinuation in January. I was assured again of this happening within the next 3-4 days.

      Instead of disconnecting the phone, they called me various times on my mobile no. with roaming while making various new offers rather than terminating the connection. I confirmed to each of them all the times, that I'm sure that I would like to disconnect my connection, yet they have sent me Bill with complete monthly charges for all the months that I'd actually wanted for the services to stand canceled. Not just that they also billed me for some God-forsaken matrimonial services i have no need for (hence had never asked)

      After so many months after that in the month of April, it had yet come to my notice that not only was nothing done about my requests but there have been extra charges I'm billed for including services I'd never asked for or used. I desperately wanted to settle this whole account by paying up the charges but for the services that I have used and that as per me is till the month of December, 2009.

      I again called up the Airtel customer care number on 22nd April for the resolution of the issue but was told that the service had been discontinued but only in the month of April. But much to my dread I was told to pay all dues till date and I was also threatened with summons by the executive. I was also told that billing for all these extra days is as per company process, now i would like to protest with all my heart at such blatant ways of trying to make an extra buck from consumers is against all moral and ethical ways of business.

      The supervisor also mentioned that since i was no longer an airtel customer they wouldn't help me with my problem!!

      And so in search of some resolution I shot a mail to the nodal officer and the appellate authority of the company on the same day (22nd April) to which i merely got a response of their having received the mail and that they will revert in 24 hours. I have till date nit received nay response but what i have received is few summons and notices at my hometown address.

      The latest complaint number that I have now for my problem is[protected]. Following that up yesterday, I called up the airtel customer service in response to the summons I have received, to which I'm told that it is an invalid number as it is just an e-mail complaint no. so as such needs to be followed up through e-mails only!!! Its been over a month of no response from the Airtel about my complaint through the mail, where, how should i now follow up, i stand confused and stalled!

      I really want to pay up each and every buck used up by me for the services, but as a customer why should i help responsible and be demanded in court for something I've never intended to use and but was merely an imposition by the company?!

      I would request you to help resolve the issue for me and also pull up this particular company to protect the interest of future customers from similar unethical behavior.

      Bharti Airtel — Unethical demand of documents

      Hi

      I am using my airtel number for the last 10 years and now I am getting SMS for the submission of documents within 48 hours of timeframe, though I have submitted such document set multiple times within a span of 10 years. I have contacted Airtel's customer care but they have no clue about the situation and were not able to provide details of missing documents and hence not able to provide any satisfactory answer. Couple of days back Airtel demonstrated their unethical and unprofessional behavior and disconnected my outgoing services without any jsutification.

      Please let me know if anybody from Airtel can be able to solve this issue. My suggestion for airtel is to imrpove their relationship with customers and they should listen customer's voice.

When I Called That Number, To My Surprise, The Person Knew That I Am A Sikh & Greeted Me By Saying " Sat Shri Akal Bhaji". He Told Me That I Have Won A 25 Lakh Lottery From A Draw Conducted By " Airtel Mobile Company" & Started Giving Me Details & Head Office Mobile Number. But When He Said 0092, I Got Suspicious About The Call From Being Pakistan & I disconnected The Call. But I Lost 10 Rupees From My Balance.

            Sir,

            I have airtel connection [protected], using this No. from last 9 years. First it was post paid connected, 3 years back I changed this to prepaid by giving necessary documents and fees at Airtel Office in Hassan.

            There was no problem for 2 years after changing from post paid to prepaid. One year back suddenly my mob service has been discontinued. When I checked with Airtel Customer Care, they told due address proof problem, it is disconnected. As per their advise, I have submitted necessary documents and got re-connected after 10 days. Again after just 3 months same proble happned, and again submitted address proff and id and got reconnected after 8 days.

            on 27.04.10 I received SMS from Airtel saying, please submit address proof and ID proof at your nearest airtel officer, otherwise service will be disconnected. Immediately I called Airtel customer care, but they confirmed my address is correct and there is no problem, but unfortunately it was disconnected by that time itself. Again I called them but they changed their words and asked me to resubmitt the documents for re-connection. I submitted address proof and ID at a Dealer in Hassan, but no action was taken by them. When enquired they says, there are no. of complaints like this, we can not do any thing. But again I submitted documents with one more agent and awaiting for reconnection, so far nothing is happened.

            Here I want to know, when it was post paid connection, there was not problem for my address, I used to get the bills very promptly. After changing it to prepaid all these problems started, why it is like this. ??.

            If Dealer is not helping us what we have to do. If called Customer care, there is no proper answere. Please advise me to what to do get my mobile reconnected. Since I have given this No. to no. of peoples and for all my financial transactions. I am loosing so many contacts because of this disconnection.

            Please advise.

            AIRTEL, Prepaid Connection — No Proper Service and Records

            My Airtel Phone Num is [protected] I have rechared my Airtel Prepaid connection with RC110/- for talk time of Rs85/- "TRANSACTION ID[protected]" . And top up of RC120/-(Benefit VV) "TRANSACTON ID[protected]" for cutting the call cost to .59 paise/cal and .10paise/msg. I have done both the recharges on 04th February and it is valid till one month. Now I have received a message from Airtel that my Benefit Value Voucher would expire on 08th February with even complition of one week. How is this possible and how can a RC valid for one month can expire just with in 1-week.

            This is Disgusting and it show how the records and maintained in Airtel and how they are cheating the customers.

            I would request the respective authorities to look into this matter and take Strong and neccessary action and do the nned full.

            It may be Just Rs100 for you guys but it worht a lot to the customers who do it.

            if the Actioned is not been taken i would certainly complait to the Government District Forum and file a suite against the Company and see that the Government does the need full.

            Airtel Prepaid — No proper service

            I took a new sim card([protected]) on july 17 2008. In my mobile it shows that it is activated but when i call up customer care they say that it is deactive sim.

            Why the hell the people of airtel recirculate a deactive sim?

            Since the day 1 iam facing the problem. After many times calling up customer care and my dealer ([protected], [protected]) iam able to make calls after a few days of my activation. But till now when i call up customer care they say it is deactive.

            2. when i make call it does not reflect the change of balance. I complained many times regarding the same but no response.

            3. Now i recharged with 230 topup. when i call it says u have no balance. Even now also there is no response.

            What the hell is going on with the airtel? I have not seen such a worst service till date.

            Hello Mr. Airtel CEO, never publicize your company as no.1 service provider. It is no.1 worst service provider.

After one month suddenlly my services are stopped without any prior notice..On 15th after enquiring from your office they sent a sms that they have not received my ID PROOF, which i had submitted .Even if in any case u have not recieved dont u think u should inform ur so old customer .I am proprieter of ODISSI CHARM - a cotton suits showroom in model town ,PATIALA .This number is circulated amoungest thousands of my esteemed customers,Since 15th my services are suspended .I am sufferring mentally and financially ,I cannot afford to losse this number, KINDLY treat it as urgent,

                Mr. Inderjit Singh Gill has issued me a Leagl Notice under section 403, 405, 406, read with section 420 of the IPC. I do not know if Mr. Gill has verified the issues before sending the Legal Notice to a common man like me or not. I have been facing issues with Airtel network for a long time, for which I have always registered complaints on Airtel.In, I have been getting emails from Airtel asking my location and giving false commitments to resolve the issues.
                After certin time, I had requested to stop the Blackberry Service I was using on my Airtel number [protected] and requested Disconnection of the same number due to continued problems in the Network. I got a confirmation message saying that 15 days there would not be any rent and then I shall get the final bill. I had even paid the last bill. The very next day I got a call from retention department of Airtel requesting not to discontinue the serevices and to use 249 1 paisa all over India calling plan for two months and also got a commitment that the problem will be solved.
                Now I feel that I amde a mistake keeping faith in Airtel and continued using the service. Again after a month or two I started giving complaints and reminders and Airtel did not bother to do the needful. Finally I spoke to a Customer Care Executive and informed that I would not pay the bill until I get the solution for my problems.
                Now, Airtel is harrasing me to pay the bill. In the mean time, my number was disconnected and whwnever one used to call on the number, heshe could listen to a pre-recorded message saying that this number is not in service. I had spoken to one Mr. Shrikant from Vega Center, Swargate, Pune (Gentleman from the recovery department!!!!) and asked that when the number was not in service, how can Airtel charge a Monthly Rental. Mr. Shrikant after (I guess) verifying my last bill, said that I could pay 500-600 Rs. and do the full and final settlement. Now Airtel is asking me for Rs. 1269.61 + 500 Rs. of the Legal Notice. I was emailing one Mr. Amit Borse, recovery department, Mumbai (The id and contact nos were given by Airtel in one document related to this matter) and all emails were getting bounced..I have the evidence.
                Also one more unethical way of harrasment by Airtel was a written notice which said that they would inform my HR department (of the company I am working for) about this issue...FOR WHAT??
                Fortunately, I have all the email exchanges and screen shots of the complaints I had registered on the Airtel website as an evidence.
                Today, i.e. on 29 April 2010, I spoke to one Mr. Swapnil on the given phone number [protected] in the legal notice, and as expected he suggested me to pay the said amount. To my surprise, when I expressed my concerns, he casually asked me to go to any legal way I can go and said that Airtel is open for this!! I had requested Mr. Swapnil to email me his commitments he had given today on phone such as retention of my number [protected], my other concerns etc before I pay the amount.. Mr. Swapnil had given his email id to me on request...swapnil.[protected]@airtel.in...all the emails are bouncing back!!! I tried calling him on his number almost 15 times...first he didnt pick up the phone, then his number was busy, then again he didnt pick the phone and then one Mr. Arora picked up the phone and said that Mr. Swapnil is busy in a meeting now till evening and he would not be available and then asked me to come down to D wing of Vega Center.

                  i m Rahul, , residing at 5074/2 modern housing complex manimajra chd .. i was contacted by airtel to have a broadband connection ..some Lalit called and said that he is the manager, , he cold me at 3pm on[protected].nd i said yes for the conection ..my bigest mistake .he came to my home at 4 pm imediately the same day ..coled me i thnk 10 tyms nd requested to have the conection .he literaly beged me ..at 4pm he came nd colected the money nd said tht nxt day ol thngs will be done ..ur landline will be puted nd conection will be activated .now its arnd 9 pm noone came nd nw i gave him cols bt hes not answering ..i prefer saying thy jast give u good services till tym u dont giv thm mny ..once mny is gone in there pocket thy becum the worst ppl..my number is [protected]..very bad service from Airtel ..kindly reply at earliest..

                    I have been using Airtel mobile services since last 2-3 years. I had registered my cell phone number on Airtel DND registry at least couple of months ago. However, after registering on DND of Airtel, I had started getting offers/services descriptions from unknown number which I had never received earlier. The frequency of such messages has increased in the recent past and it is really annoying to see such messages coming especially after registering on DND registry.

                    It is extremely unprofessional and unethical conduct from Airtel and I seek reimbursement in material terms for evasion of my peace of mind and trust on these services.

                    i am listed on national do not disturb registry for 4 months now and i still keep on getting spam calls. I have lodged complaints against these numbers several times, but i still keep on getting this calls and airtel has never responded to status of complaints whatsoever.

                    I find this very irresponsible and in direct violation of TRI guidelines.
                    My DND is activated from past 3 months and even today I get calls and SMS from Airtel. I have called the customer care several times and still get calls.. The customer care people do not respond properly. they tell me that they will message me the complaint number, but this has never happened.. I request TRAI to take action against this..

                    I have been calling your customer care every day (almost) and all they ask me is to provide them with the details of the sender of such SMS or calls. Please note, that if I'm not interested in these calls and SMS' surely, I do not have the inclination nor the time to note down these details and keep feeding you with the information!

                    You need to come up with a solution to such a problem and I'm sure, since it is your network, you already have the details of all the 'DM - -----" etc. who are sending these messages and disturbing us.

                      I would like to file a complaint against Bharti Airtel Ltd For the 'financial harassment and mental torture' for the following matter.

                      I filed a telephonic request to Airtel on 121 for cancellation of Airtel DSL Connection No.[protected]or user ID: [protected]_dsl) on 22nd Deecember,2009.I followed it up with their official complaint email address on their website on February 1, 2010 as it was not disconnected by then.


                      Instead of disconnecting the phone, they called me exactly 10 times on mobile no. [protected] while making various new offer rather than terminating the connection. I confirmed to each of them 10 times, therefore making it 100 times for 10 calls, 10 times confirmation each, that I'm sure that I would like to disconnect my connection, yet they have sent me Bill with complete
                      monthly charges.



                      Nothing happened till now instead of giving termination request every month since then.

                      Again I made the request with latest service request reference number as 32540966 dated 11th May,2010, against which termination assurance of 13th May,2010 was given.



                      Now, even after 5 days there is no confirmation of termination of connection from you Airtel, Please do the needful or else I would have to drag you to Consumer Court.

                      I totally agree! I have had numerous problems with Airtel people and one of them is of the same nature.

                      Airtel Broadband — No Termination

                      Dear Sir,

                      I had informed the bill collecting person and had also requested aritel customer care for termination of broadband connection[protected] after clearing he bill till the month of February after which I shifted to a new location. Despite of me intimating them for termination I still receive alerts in my mobile and email which I had brought to notice to them the time itself, when I got bill alert for the month of March. But I still received bills for the month of April and have been getting messages regarding the same.

                      Please take it as a formal complaint.

                        2days before I recharghed my Airtel Prepaid No. with unlimited Internet of Rs. 98 (2GB for 30days). But, when I started browsing My both balance were deducted. My talktime have reduced to Rs.20 and GPRS Balance is deducted to 70MB.When I contacted to Customer Care. They foolish said me that our system shows that your GPRS Balance is 2048MB and no deduction has made. But My mobile shows it is appx. 1960MB. What the hell is this???.
                        Till now they deducting my both balance. They transfered my call to senior department but those are more FOOOOOLLLLIIIISSSSHHH.
                        Same is happened with me 2 months before.

                          Dev Authority papers even after repeated requests since[protected]yet not submitted to me though promised everytime.It might create problem like the one at Delhi .as on enquiry to construct new rooms I am denied permission on the ground that Air Tel tower on my top has been installed without proper permission from Sivasagar Dev AUTHORITYwhich you were supposed to take .Simultanously on enquiry to your officials I was told in the year 2008 that I will get the papers very shortly but till now it has not come to me thereby obstructing my dev works.Kindly look into the matter to give all the requisite papers or else let me ask the Sivasagar Dev Authority to remove the tower as my dignity as law abiding citizen has been at stakes.

[protected], i have promotional msg from airtel while checking my balance that if i dial[protected]toll free), then check the new songs and may select from them then company will charged rs 15/- for monthely charge and rs 5/- song selection. but during this i have selected no song, further i have received promo for this hello tune for dial a no. 578787. i haved dial agin this no. for hello tune, but no song my choice is available, then i have disconnected tha call,
                            but after some time i have received a msg for activation of hello tune and my balance has been diducted, what is this nonsence? if i dial a free no. that not mean i have selected any services, , this is your dictetarship to follow the rules of your own, it is good or bad.
                            while i call to customer care complaint service no 198 at 11:17am, exective did not give any solution and told me that you have not any type of knowledge to operate your mobile, you selected a hello tones, and some arguments are passed from each other and we abused few second, but they provide no solution.
                            i am very fed up from ur service

                                I was having a BSNL broadband connection for my home usage. Someone suggested to get an Airtel broadband connection which he suggested would be faster and better than BSNL. Hence I went for the same and issued a cheque on 23rd April 10 for Rs 1800.00 as an advance for three month rental.

                                I am a professional and working as a consultant to a British company. Without internet I can not work and thus I am loosing heavily and which is affecting my credibility.

                                The Airtel internet connection was released (Login ID [protected]_dsl) on 30th April 2010 in a hurry and a modem (Beetel modem 110TC1) was provided with the connection. I was having my BSNL broadband at that time which was got disconnected on 6th May 10 and from that day my nightmare started. The performance of the connection is very poor, very erratic. Every now and then I am getting the page which shows that the ADSL is down. When it is running, the Signal to Noise margin normally remains below 5 (downstream) and 8-12 (upstream). Similarly Line Attenuation remains between 30 to 24.

                                I have Netgear and Huawei wireless router-modems which, I have been told, would not work because of the above problems (Both of them are in perfect working order). Therefore, whenever Airtel internet works, I have to connect my laptop to the Beetel modem (110TC1) with the help of LAN cable and thus limited to my PC work table only.

                                I have made several complaints about my Airtel internet connection but to no avail. I had also called call centre and got registered my complaint (Reference no 32554802 dated 11th May 10). I am continuously contacting every body who was involved with the release of the connection. However when my problem was not taken up seriously I contacted Mr. Anural Lamba of AirTel on 15th May. He suggested to contact Mr Shahzad Jami[protected] who finally said that he would look into the matter and my problem would be solved. In the evening Mr Ajay Singh, engineer again visited my house and the internet was made functional again. However the S/N ratio is still below par which was shown to Sri Laxman and Sri Ajay Singh who had visited my house earlier.

                                The connection is still poor and I am getting frequent disconnection every now and then.

                                Today in the morning the net was again not working and I got the same page (ADSL down). At the time of writing this (18th May 2010 10:18 pm), the SN ratio is 3 and 11. Line attenuation is 31.0 and 24.5.

                                Today I have received the bill against the internet connection.

                                I request Airtel authorities to look into the matter and take corrective measures immediately so that I may get a stable internet connection alongwith the commissioning of my wireless modems (either Netgear or Huawei ). If this can not be achieved by Airtel then the connection may be disconnected permanently and my entire money be refunded.

                                AIRTEL INTERNET — NO WIFI connection provided

                                have bought a Compaq laptop, Hp and airtel are running a campaign of internet connection from airtel, you pay for 6 months and get next 6 months free usage, its over a month but still there has been no reponse from either of the organization inspite of repeated phone calls... worst is airtel customer care doesnt even know about it!!!

                                  15th May ’10 Saturday around 19:00, I have opted for new Airtel Digital TV connection (North India Ultra Pack). I have made payment of 4350 INR through Airtel Digital TV customer care (no dealer involved). Transaction Id for same is 8801526.

                                  I was set with expectation during a call after I made payment that I will get customer ID SMSed to me within 3 hrs of time. However I have not received any customer ID till now after 48 hrs even (complain logged – 2709803).
                                  I was told that incase if I do not receive customer ID; based on Transaction ID I can get it traced. Even for this Airtel Digital TV customer care is not helping.

                                    I am having Airtel Connection No.[protected] and on paying Rs. 999/- made it lifetime free incoming in 2004/05. The validity dace then was being shown as 25.11.2024. Suddenly since a year the validity period is shown as 24/11/2014. Being useless citizen of India, (Passport Holder, PAN card holder, Voter Identity Holder, Central Goverment Pensioner) I am not able to decide whether the Airtel Services are going to close in November 2014 or the Airtel wants me to die in November 2014. Can anybody give me an answer as I do not yet know the number for consumer complaints, neither they reveal it as done by BSNL while inserting SIM Card.

                                      Recently transferred to Mumbai from Hyderabad, I had to change my mobile service provider and take a new number. Based on my own research I narrowed my option to Vodafone. But all logic set apart,

                                      I decided to go for Airtel based on my friend’s recommendation and ever since it has been a nightmare.

                                      I stay in Bhandup and work in Worli. The nearest Airtel Relationship Center (ARC)was in Mulund West- one Bhavna Connect. I called them up and found from the the documents I should submit to get a postpaid connection. According to their instructions- I carried with me the following:

                                      a) Copy of the rent registration agreement. It should be noted here that the house was rented in my wife’s name and it was unambiguosly mentioned that Mrs. XXXX ( my wife) was wife of Mr. YYYY ( myself).

                                      b) Copy of my PAN card

                                      c) Photographs, and

                                      d) The activation charge of Rs. 300

                                      I was serviced by Mr. Ravi an executive there who studied all the documents and told me that they were in order and then accepted payment and gave me the SIM card ( No. [protected]). This was on the 7th of May 2010 and he told me that my connection would get activated the same day evening. True to his word, the SIM card got activated the same day evening.
                                      The subsequent events are outlined below in chronological order:

                                      1. 10th May 2010- Airtel officer visits house to verify address and other information provided
                                      2. 11th May 2010- Received call from Mr. Ravi at Bhavna Connect, seeking clarification that my name does not appear on the Registered House Rent Agreement. Pointed out to him that the agreement was drawn in the name of my wife that my name appears as the name of the husband. He was satisfied and on asking him whether there is a problem, he answered in the negative saying that this should be fine.
                                      3. 12th May, 2010- Received an SMS Alert from Airtel requesting me to submit my documentation to the point of purchase to avoid disconnection
                                      4. 12th May, 2010- Immediately called Customer Service Representative and informed him of the SMS Alert and asked him what further documentation is needed. He informed me to ignore the SMS and that everything was in order.
                                      5. 12th May 2010 - Received confirmatory mail by courier giving me the details of my plan and that my subscription is confirmed
                                      6. 13th May 2010- Without any notice whatsoever, all outgoing calls were barred from my number. Enquiring with the Customer Service Representative, Mr. Vinod, I was informed that a piece of documentation called SIS was missing and that I had to go to the ARC where I purchased the connection to get the issue rectified. On telling him that I had filled up all the forms given to me by Mr. Ravi at Bhavna Televentures and that I was informed the day before that this was an error on the part of Airtel, he asked me to get in touch with Airtel Nodal Office.
                                      7.13th May 2010 - Was send a Reference Number ( F [protected]) by SMS
                                      8. 13th May 2010- Immediately called up the Nodal Office and talked to Mr. Satyaveer Singh. He checked out my details and informed me that it was a miscommunication and arranged for all outgoing calls to be activated.
                                      9. 13th May 2010 - All outgoing calls were restored immediately
                                      10. 14th May 2010 - Made a few calls during the daytime and in the evening found that all outgoing calls are again barred.
                                      11. 14th May 2010 - Immediately called up Customer Care Representative and talked to Mr. Tanaji. He cited the old issue of incomplete documentation as the reason and asked me to go to Bhavna Televentures. On citing my earlier interactions, he then gave me the number of the Appellate Authority to communicate to.
                                      12. 14th May 2010- Wrote to the Apellate Authority to Mr. Vishal Gurung, who is supposedly be the highest authority for Airtel in Mumbai. Got an automated response saying that my issue would be resolved in 24 hours and was given a reference number[protected]
                                      13. Waited for 2 days and nothing happened...looked like Mr. Gurung was either not interested or had better things to do
                                      14. 17th May 2010- Called up telephonically to the Apellate Authority to find out status of request. Phone was attended by a Ms. Nisha who told me that Mr. Gurung was not available. So I briefed her about my problem and she said that she will check into it.
                                      15. 17th May 2010 - Ms. Nisha promptly called me back giving me yet another new reason for the abrupt discontinuation of services. She tells me that my name is given differently in the system. On querying with her as to whose mistake it was that a wrong entry has been made, she turned high and mighty telling me to go visit the ARC to rectify the issue and that she couldn’t do anything ( imagine the Apellate Authority, the highest authority of Airtel in Mumbai ) saying that they couldn’t do anything
                                      13. In the same telecon, I told her that I do not have any other document to submit and as to whether Airtel could take back the SIM card and return me the Activation charge since the service was not being provided, her reply was interesting. Airtel would gladly take back the SIM card, but the refund was possible only after 60 days !!!
                                      14. To cap it all, on 17th of May 2010, I receive a self satisfied mail from one Mr. Satish Pathak, Apellate Officer telling me that my issue has been resolved and asking me whether I was satisfied with the " service " provided.
                                      15. Lastly, I write back to Mr. Pathak telling him that my issue still remains and yes true to its style...I get a reply from Airtel...thanking me for writing to them and giving me a new reference number[protected] and promising me resolution in 24 hours....And so the jouney has come back to square one...
                                      16.I reviewed my experience with Airtel on Mouthshut.com giving their services a big thumbs down on the 17th of May 2010 and with 3 hours of writing the review, my SIM card which untill that time could receive incoming calls was deactivated completely and am now not in a position to get even incoming calls !! I get a message saying " SIM Card Regsitration failed !! ". Talk about freedom of speech.

                                      My advice to future potential customers of Airtel is to refrain from this house of white collared thieves.

                                      Air Tel Televentures — Harassment

                                      Dear Sir/Madam,

                                      This is to inform you that I am using Airtel Connection from last 2.6 Yrs and I never found any grievences related to billing & Service. But From last 4 months I found problems in my bills and same is infromed to Airtel. When I have not received any satisfactory answer. I was called by your executives regarding the non-payment of bill. I have clearly explained the flaws found in the bills and same to be rectified.I ready to pay my actual bills containing the genuine calls.


                                      Today i.e 29-dec-07, I have received a threatning call from your Team Leader Named Mr. Rajiv Singh Chouhan regarding the non-payment of bill.
                                      The Details are as undder
                                      No[protected] at 11:30 Am

                                      He was sounding very harsh, abusive and also threatning me to make the payment by Today max 16:30, otherwise he will use my personal calls detail from my itemized bill and missue the same.

                                      This is a humble request to look into this matter seriously. Plz do the need full.

                                      Vodafone — Arm Twisting Tactics

                                      1. Vodafone wrongly collected advance against receipt for the services to be rendered immediately within 3 days.
                                      2. Vodafone provided services after good 78 days of collecting the advance, which is not normal and against industry norm.
                                      3. Vodafone provided these services after almost 100 calls from my side to them or there agents, causing me financial loss, time lost and mental stress.
                                      4. Vodafone after 78 days provider services which were not in conformity of the promises given in the receipt and supporting documents.
                                      5. Vodafone did confirm the services on phone call which were mentioned in the documents but in the charges in bills was completely different.
                                      6. The services to be provided were to be activated on one existing number and on two additional numbers.
                                      7. Services to my existing number were rightly amended, whereas on additional numbers it was not provided, why, nobody explains.
                                      8. In the bill there was no mention of the advance money collected.
                                      9. After receipt of very first bill I complained in Vodafone gallery at Thane, put telephonic complaint and on the Email also.
                                      10. Vodafone did not heed to my complaints and requests either on personal visits or on phone.
                                      11. Vodafone did never bother to take note of the advance money collected on false pretext.
                                      12. I had to visit the gallery at least 10 times to resolve the problem but to no avail.
                                      13. NOW INSTEAD OF TRYING TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM, VODAFONE HAS ISSUED ME TWO LEGAL NOTICE THREATENING OF LEGAL CATION.
                                      Totally.. they are just ripping off customers money!

                                        Dear Sir,
                                        This is with reference to our landline no. allotted to us. In this regard we would like to say that we have applied connection in the name of Ishika Foods Pvt Ltd at H.No. 2088, Sector- 4, opp. HUDA Gymkhana Club, Gurgaon by giving account payee cheque in your favour to sales officer Mr. Vikas Bairwa([protected]) which he processed for the connection and no allotted as well to us but due to some mistake at our side cheque returned from bank unpaid reason being difference in signing image which we came to know on last Saturday[protected] at 09.30pm by contacting customer care for the discontinue of the services………

                                        In this regard we would like to say that this is our fault and we apologize first for the same and we rectified the same immediately by paying on-line through our credit card amounting Rs. 1750 only. We would like to dictate a little story as experience faced during the period till date…..

                                        Sir if a company is distributing connections on the good faith of the customers then customers also too have to be equally responsible for the same we know and as a good customer we can’t deny because we are too doing business in market but yes! You can say status is much low as yours will……………….Hence ethics of business is same my dear …. We will pay for your services and you will provide services and thus to be called business…………

                                        We want to say that we have given those cheque has returned due to difference in signing image but we paid immediately by credit card after we got the status but it is also a duty of company to inform customers or they should have some measures about to inform customers that there services are going to be blocked in the next coming day or hours or any type o[censored]ltimatum hence this is your internal strategy and as a customer we have right to give suggestions.

                                        A LITTLE STORY ABOUT US FACED DURING…………………

                                        Sir, this is very shameful to brief about your customer care who attends the call at [protected].
                                        My personal experience start when I called to know the status of payment which I paid through credit card on Saturday[protected] at 11pm in night which they respond no payment received by us till yet. Then on very next day i.e. on Sunday I again confirmed on above said nos. they replied they received the payment and your connection will be activated on[protected] till 1.30pm sharp(as min. time of 4working hours required ). I again called for requesting if possible kindly activate currently as IP TV connections also got locked but at that time they replied we are not in receipt of any kind of payment. Mind two faces and two statements when both are using same system and working under one roof.

                                        I waited for Monday and called again in hope that connection will be active after following the team. But they replied your request is under process and mail has marked by us which is a part of procedure and waited for the target time and in vain. I requested again on customer care and argued over the matter then they told no payment has received by us…..this is ridiculous that a phone caller is not receiving proper answer from opposite side and they all are making fool of others. At last I approached MR. VIKAS, sales officer for the said problem, he replied he is in a meeting and need 2 hours to get the status clear …….. I have no more option and I waited till 5pm, he didn’t made a call and when I called him he disconnected the connection two or three times and finally he replied he can’t do anything more and he replied to have talk with his senior Mr. ASHWINI ([protected]) and disconnected the phone in ill-mannered way and behaved rudely…….that is a team of AIRTEL such a big group touching sky and this type of attitude, shame full to us…. And at that time we thought we are much better as we are…………..

                                        Now I called to Mr. ASHWINI ([protected]) who listens the whole story and said he will reply after half an hour definitely and till yet he didn’t make any call and when I am calling he is not picking my phone Such a great senior persons they are and you have in your group family, this is very much shame for us to be known as how we treated in last 2-3 days…………………….

                                        At last we would like to say that till this date and time our services are not activated and no senior officers has approached us over our problems and one more thing we wish to surrender the connection as we need not require any harassment and any problems with us and when we have paid the whole amount. Kindly guide for the surrender formalities……………………

                                        Airtel Landline — ::: Regarding Faith :::

                                        This complaint is regarding employee of Airtel..

                                        the employee who had given me the connection before 2 months of Airtel Landline was promised to provide a HeadPhone of computer as it was in their plan (plan of Rs. 550), but unfortunately he did'nt stay with his words.
                                        Even i complained more than 5 times about the same at the customer care of Airtel (i.e on 121) but i did'nt got any response.

                                        Plz tell me that shaal we stop believing your employees, those who never stays on their words..

                                        plz reply me as soon as possible regarding same..
