Hi ,
I want to bring this incident to your attention.I had an airtel number which I transferred to my tenant.Itransferred this connection legally with the Airtel's approval
After 2 years - our tenant moved from my place and Iam not sure where he is and is not in touch.Last I heard was he was statying in abroad.
To my surprise - the bill on this number is unpaid and I have been recieving calls at odd hours of the night and people threatning me to pay the bills for the old number which I did not use.I was just the previous owner of this number.
To add to all these woes - they are sending people who are illetrate and goonds near my place for that guy who has left India and not paid the bills.
I even recieved an email from Airtel stating that I need to pay the money - even though it is not in my name.
Iam mentally being harrased and would like to take up this matter to Consumer Court and TRAI for cancellation of the license of AIRTEL.They are using moneypower and goondapower to harrass the poor customers.

Airtel is a cheater and same is Sunil Mittal (If not he will resolve tmy issue below).

I bought a Sony phone from Reliance Digital on 8th July2012, at Shipra Mall and one sticker on the box says "Free data usage of 500 MB each month for 3 month as soon as I insert my 1st Airtel SIM". The service will activate within 48 hours of inserting the SIM. I verified this with Reliance Digital at Shipra Mall person and he confirmed this. When the service was not activate after 48 hours I called Airtel 198, the person said, I have to buy another new SIM and insert in the phone. I checked with Reliance and other vendor for the same phone model, they said it is absurd and wrong. Any SIM would work. So I called Airtel 198 again and a Lady told confirming the same that current SIM will work and she logged a ticket #[protected] promising to resolve my issue within 48 hour. After 48 hour, I got a sms saying that the ticket is resolved and they tried to call me but failed. So, I called Airtel 198 again, and to my surprise the Supervisor Harminder Singh informed me that the scheme is not valid for my phone as the scheme starts on 20th July and I need to contact Reliance Digital for this. Reliance Digital says, the Box has the sticket from Sony Company and Airtel has to provide the Service, and they cannot do much about this. Harminder Singh, Airtel Helpdesk Supervisor, told me he will get his supervisor to call me after checking all my call details to the Airtel helpdesk, but there was no call back.

last C.C. dept. call on 25th/may/2012 reff no[protected] exc miss/mrs. pooja nair from mumbai.
she said to me "today ur connection will surlly disconnect.
But before 5 days a have received another bill no[protected]
billed amt-1858/- & last payment is 200/- on 7/june/2012
ye payment maine nhi kiya h...aap ke Retention Excs. hi karte jis se line connect rahe...
or mera plan autometiclly rs230/month mai migreate kar diya h...

i applied for disconnetion on 29/feb/2012 so I will only pay till date of 7/mar/2012 (jesa nomes mai hai ki shifting mai 7days lagte hai)...

M and infact all of my couligue are facing same N/w issue in all over mumbai. Hardly 1-2 signal bar in my home and office (Siemens Ltd., Worli). M escalling this matter to your customer care team since last 2-3 months. Without resolving issue how you can close it from system??? Airtel is a veri compnay, cheating peoples on the name. M using Airtel since past 6+ years and earlier was a no.1 fan of Airtel but at todays date I CAN ONLY SAY DONT PREFER AIRTEL. Also on todays date my outgoing is disconnected due to o/s. But why should i pay if m not getting service?? M paying rental fee for Airtel as well as BBM and allways have to depend on other service provider like Vodadfone due to n/w issues of Airtel. M not going to pay any o/s dues further in any of case. The service is disconnected since 2 days. Also m putting this case in consumer protection. Since last 4-5 months we are facing this n/w issues but every time we get msg that it will be resolved or it got resolved but the result is zero. I am getting 4-5 calls every day from Airtel on payment part and every time i need to tell the issue that m facing. I am 100% taking this matter to court on harshing me on personal level as well as financially and need compensation. We escalled this to our corporate level and soon the Airtel service will be completly discontinued from our corporate sector and on todays date we can say VODAFONE is the BEST mobile service provider than Airtel.

Dear Mr Sunil Mittal,

I have been an Airtel Customer for the past 15 years. My May '12 Bill (due to be paid by 12th June '12) was delayed since I was travelling and the cheque was deposited on 20th June, 2012. The cheque was cleared from our bank on 25th June, 2012. However, I kept getting payment follow up calls and sms from Airtel despite the fact I called up customer care many times and scanned my bank statement and mailed it to Airtel ([protected]@in.airtel.com) several times.
I kept on requesting the customer care that someone senior from Airtel should talk to me but did not receive any calls from any senior person in Airtel. I asked customer care to give me the name and contact of the Airtel customer care head, but they refused to give me any name or contact.
As of 27th June, 2012, Airtel blocked my outgoing calls due to non-payment of the above bill.
When my office accountant went to Airtel Customer care (at M block market, Greater Kailash - Part II, New Delhi) yesterday, he was informed that I need to deposit cash for the above referred to bill only then my outgoing will be restored!
I am writing to you as a last resort and if this does not get resolved immediately, I will not have any other alternative than going to consumer court, Looking for a response from your office.

My DTH ([protected]) is not working since 28 July 2012 and I called atleast 7-8 times to Airtell call center for resolution and every one has assured me that engineer would visit my home. It is more than 10 days and I am still waiting for airtel engineer to visit and resolve the issue.


Disgusting customer service... above all i got SMS from airtel informing that my connection has been cut on 7th August as my validity period has expired on 7th August...

cool customer service... If Airtel DTH maintains such customer resolution attitude very soon Airtell will be out of market.
i have connection of Digital tv, and my customer id is [protected], but due to some problem your service not working in last 5 days i was complaint so many time in your customer care department but they are not taken any kind of action and every time they are given me a wrong commitment to me. but now i m very much disappointing to this company, so i want to canceled this connection and refund my balance amount.

this is a my very much bad experience with this company and i never suggest to my friends and family also

Hi,

Just so anyone sensible and responsible for QA of Airtel knows, I thought to share my feedback. We have 5 phone lines and broadband in our office being your corporate client in Sec-63, Noida. For the past 22 days, one of my direct phone line dead[protected].

In this regard, we called the local Support Guy, Ompal : [protected] and he said he will fix, later said he will come and he never came and now stopped picking phone calls.

We have called CC 18 + times, all records are there in form of ref numbers : 19853410, 19986274, 20174244, 20505894 and many more... Nothing happened yet, no one ever came to visit and see why the line is dead and fix it.

We have even emailed to [protected]@in.airtel.com too 5-6 times and they also not able to get this fixed and the worst thing is "reply came, Technician visited and said nothing wrong"... No one ever came here and so how could this answer.

I am feeling like i am dealing with one of the worst ever service provider in the world so far and my trust level in your service is below ZERO now...

Not sure where Airtel is heading these days and one day i am sure if the company gives that kind of pain to its customers and such a poor service, You will suffer a lot.

Do you not think the value of our time and business, we are a corporate client and due to your poor service, imagine the business loss we are having? Should i claim this on Airtel now???

Pls let me know the resolution and also we never ever had a way to approach to any Nodal Officer directly for complaint & Suggestions???

I lives in yamuna nagar haryana .My office is in chhachhrauli, My no is [protected].I use this no from very long ago with out porblem but very sorry to say i and many people facing problem of network.I dont know what is the problem. I am bussiness man this is my bussinss no. many time i complaints to your customer care but nothing. I dont want to shift in other company. I would like to know who does the corporate training for your staff, especially those who handle the phonecalls and emails.
I believe that a lot more needs to be done in this field since the staff seems woefully incapable of handling any kind of conflict resolution and end up just harrassing customers.
In fact I would like to train your staff in this regard.

O&M HEAD kashmir has given Taping to Reliance communications, for his personal relation. because he was working in that company before mother INFRATEL.
i am using the word MOTHER because this company is giving employment and care to many unemployed poor persons.

any way if any technician will give taping to any company for his personal relation., , , , (that is COS.. )may i know if head of company will do this mistake why don’t company remove him from system..
he must be punished otherwise no one should be punished for coc . because rules should be for all, , , ,
taping giving to other company for the own benefit is theft...

one more thing Mr. zahoor Rizvi (previous o&m head kashmir) and Mr Kaisar (zom) has gifted 10kv D.G to Mr. Gafar sofi and no one is thinks about it...

because COC is only for poor Tchnician...

I have been using an Airtel pre-paid SIM card for the past 7 to 8 years.
This Friday on 12th Oct 2012 my SIM stopped working showing 'Invalid SIM' in phone display.
At an Airtel showroom staff conveyed to me that my mobile number has been deleted from their Database. Reason being zero usage.
Please note:
1. No warning was conveyed to me, no suspension period provided, so I could redeem my number atleast.
2. Airtel is not refinding my balance talk time money to me
3. The officila Airtel website has no provision to raise complaint
Question: Why is Amir Khan having his program sponsored by Airtel when it is commiting such FRAUD with people?
They have to do this to 50 to 100 people per month and they have plenty of STOLEN money.

I am thoroughly dissappointed with AIRTEL since i bought an AIRTEL 3G modem from M/s Narendra Agencies, West Mambalam, Chennai 600033 on 8th Oct 12 and got it activated the same night. But to my surpirse AIRTEL could not make the same work with good speed in spite of complaing thro my supplier and self. The speed of the said modem has never gone beyond 75 kbps whereas the claim that it can reach a speed upto 7.2 mbps. My no. [protected]. Want to draw your kind attention into the matter where I had applied for AIRTEL DIGITAL TV MULTICONNECTION on my ID [protected] on june 6th 2012 and I got a reply from ur executive regarding payment of rupees1190 with the booking ID 94390 and I was asked to make payment at the given link by team leader Deepak Soni of SHELL TRANSOURCE LTD and the link was http://web.shelltransource.com:8089/airtel/payment/index.php?bid=94390 as I was making payment online through my SBI ATM card my request for online payment was declined but my bank sent me a message of successful debit of Rupees 1190 with the transaction no[protected] on june 6th at 4.53 pm.I spoke to ur executive and I was told that no money has been transferred to my airtel account.So next day again I tried the online payment through my BANK OF INDIA DEBIT CARD on june7th 2012 with the transaction no
BDIPG/TR[protected]/SHELLTRANS and BDIPG/TR[protected]/SHELLTRANS at 8.06pm and 8.09 pm respectively.I put a mail to Deepak Soni regarding this problem on june 7th2012at 8.55pm. and everytime I was given the same link. But meanwhile I got my Airtell acount recharged with Rs 200 on june7th and Rs 999 on june9th.I enquired about this and I was told that this is for airtel multiconnection as paid by SBI ATM CUM DEBIT CARD. Now my Airtell digital TV multiconnection is successfully installed and working and we are enjoying it but kindly refund my money paid twice through my BANK OF INDIA DEBIT CARD proof of which I have attached a photoscan of my passbook. I shall be highly thankful to you.

I got port My prepaid mobile [protected] from vodafon to Airtel and activated on 29.10.12. After one week it is deactivated I submitted document again on 9.11.2012 at Airtel Relation ship centre, Tagore, Garden, Delhi-110027 but my phone is still deactivated . I lodged many complains to nodal officer but they are doing nothing. They just reply that "we will contact you in 24 hours" but they never contact.Please check your nodal officer (prepaid) Delhi & NCR circle and their action taken on my complaints th. FAX and Email. The are just taking salary without doing any work. Today is 22.11.12 but my mobile is still deactivated. If AIRTEL is unable to restore it then pl. let me know I will get it back port to Vodafon.

These guys messed up with my prepaid account, the number originally a postpaid converted to prepaid using for the past 5 years shows in record as somebody else name and that was my problem. Countless visit to the Nodal office hyderabad & numerous calls to the incompetent **ucking customer care executives nothing helped but added to my frustration with airtel. I have ahd bitter experiences with other airtel services also (digital TV, Internet connection) all sucks!!!

I didn't get a reply, but I got an SMS that you have replied. Farce!!

BTW I went to airtel, office, begumpet, spledid towers, and spoke to Mamata the CS agent, who originally took my papers 4 weeks back. She said by tuesday all the updates will be done. But I could still see from the website it hasn't happened.


You guys are unfathomable to the plight of a customer. Really HATE AIRTEL AND ALL IT'S PRODUCTS. WILL NEVER EVER BUY OR RECOMMEND AIRTEL .

I would like to know the status. Two days back the team lead from Bangalore named Chetan talked to me got all the details and promised to get back to me as early as possible. Overall my frustration with airtel has reached the epitome.
The most I can do is, I will never ever use Airtel services nor will I recommend Airtel to anyone. I will post my traumatic experience with airtel in all online forums. I will also lodge complaint in TRAI if I don't get this resolved in the next 3 days.

This is the ultimatum.

This email is addressed to Chetan again. I am fed up!!! As expected you too have successfully retained the worst customer support experience from Airtel. Let me remind you of the promise you made to solve the issues I have repeatedly brought to you & Airtel's notice. The problem remains and I am left with literally no other option but court.
Just thought of reminding you through this mail, and for GS don't make any false assurances to customers, you are no better than the support I got from Airtel all these days.

Don't know your CEO's email id but making a wild guess and ccing him to vent my frustration and ire.

you guys suck and I warn your business will not survive if you continue this cheap tactics, poor customer support, incompetent staffs, false claims.
You guys will see the dust like the Mallya's. Waste money in sponsorship and other corporate missspends. Your system is completely messed up.

I had applied for sim change from normal sim to micro from v connect airtel relationship center dhankawdi pune after i exchanged my sim i was not able to start up with it i continuously followed up with them for two months and now they are telling me that my phone no has been deleted i am your customer since last 7 to 8 yrs and how this can be done if i have a regular follow up with them and i frankly say that the service in your airtel gallery is absolutely frustating please Mr mittal make this into notice and help me out my airtel mo no is [protected] and my email id is [protected]@gmail.com and my alternate no is [protected]/50
