Dear Authorities,
Myself C Ilavarasan, purchased the Airtel mobile number[protected] as postpaid; an year back on June 2011. Then I converted the same as prepaid at Airtel, Shop No. 12, Anna Nagar, Madurai - 625020. The same was done on my presence.
Unfortunately my mobile was lost on September 2012. I approached airtel customer care at Madurai Airtel Office @ Anna Nagar, for new sim. To my surprise, I was told that the number is registered in somebody else name i.e., Mr Anand Kumar, S/o Mr Mahalingam.
I wonder that when I submitted all the proofs and other details for the purchase of number; how its being converted to somebody else name without my knowledge. Even if the number is in somebody else name how come they didn’t question the same for last 1 year; when I used it. F Y Kind Info, I have a proof for my usage and my possession.
The same subject as complaint been registered as with customer care over phone.
Again when I approached the Airtel Office @ Adyar, Chennai; they did a prolonging enquiry. Then provided a new replacement sim no.[protected] H2 and informed that activation will be done in 2 hours and not activated till now.
I would raise the doubt that, how do Airtel permit me to use the number which is in somebody else name.
I suspect the Airtel executives are purposely doing these cheap works to abduct this fancy number.
Kindly do intervene and get me back my mobile number at the earliest.
