      I am writing to you request you to kindly provide me justice!!! I am a Airtel Chennai customer ([protected])... I had bought this sim in may 2012 and within 15 days they sent me a bill of Rs. 700/- So I called more than 20-30 to get this issue sorted out... next month the bill amount kept increasing Rs. 890/- and then to Rs. 2300/- in the month of July. So finally I decided to quit using Airtel and called them requesting to shut down service, also because I relocated to Kolkata. The customer care executive told me it will be done in 5 days.... Its been a month now... I have called then more than 22 times now... have talked/yelled/cried and begged! but they just give me a date and tell me that number will be disconnected but number remains active still. I called them today also. Some girl picked up and refused to take ownership of the complaint. Once a executive gave me a mail ID to write an email. but the email was not delivered (probably fake). I m in a state of trauma now. I don't know what to do. Every month the bill gets generated even when I am not using that Airtel postpaid connection any more. They are charging me for August and sent me a bill of Rs. 600/-. Please Help!

      I have also sent a online complaint after being fed up of Airtel's pathetic customer care executives and reference no. is PO[protected].

      If I go about telling the ugly story relating to this issue... then probably I would have to write a book on it... I am fed up and this is my last attempt... If I don't get a solution I will NOT pay my bill... and Airtel can keep sending me bill...

        I have purchased a SIM of Airtel with lifetime validity.(no-[protected]) before some Years. Its validity got ended in last month.So i asked Airtel to extend the validity. First they Suggest me the recharge of Rs.64/- then Rs. 62/- And then of Rs.65/- all these three recharge amounts were wrong. Finally they told me the recharge of Rs.110/- For the validity of One Year (365 days) and 275mins of A2A free local minutes bundled with it.
        So I recharged my SIM with Rs. 110/- on[protected] but now it is showing the Validity till[protected]i.e. 90 days ) only. i asked them about this but they are totally refusing and not giving the proper response.
        So please do the needful and give me the validity of 1 Year(365 days)

        Sir,
        I have been a loyal customer of airtel for the past 8 yrs though recent technical problems have made me question my choice. My Airtel no is [protected] and its validity expired on 27th Feb 2013. I have tried various recharge amounts as suggested by your website and your consumer care, which i would like to mention was extremely unhelpful. I would like you to resolve the problems and update the recharge amount list on your website to make it more convenient. Also, look into the consumer care attitude because the current one is not working.

          This is an earnest request to you to save me from the harassment by your
          esteemed organization. I left India on 22nd Aug for US and made a request to
          convert my Postpaid number to yearly rental plan, as I wanted to continue with
          Airtel when I return back. The customer service person took my request over the
          phone, gave me a request no. and communicated that it has been done-from next
          day (which eventually happens to be start of my next billing cycle), I will be
          under the yearly rental plan.
          After that request, they again initiated the process for submitting documents
          and mail chains. They raised two more requests
          45603219 by Jesintha Fernandes(cust care executive) WHICH was supposed to be
          resolved by 3rd Sept. But when I wrote on 6th Sept to know the status, they
          replied again with a new Service Request No. 45746162 by Aakash Gupta (cust
          care executive).
          In short it took 29 mails- 15 days- 3 official service requests from your
          organization just for one small request and still the issue is unresolved; that too of a customer who is willing
          to utilize the services of your organization in future by paying a yearly
          rental even when he is not in India.
          Every time, a new customer care executive attends the issue and it all starts
          from the scratch- Same template driven mail, one more new service request and a
          promise to resolve the request within 7 days.
          If every service request is bound by an SLA, I demand an explanation what
          happened to my earlier service requests. I am totally frustated by this torture
          meted out to me by your organization. I have faced the same earlier when I
          moved to US in 2010 and tried to move the same to yearly rental plan([protected]
          - This is the same number which I was using then as well as now).
          Request your urgent attention into this.

            i had bought an airtel prepaid number [protected] from dhanashree mobile from Pune with necessary document.After it got deactived saying the documents needs to be submitted again.Again i submitted the necessary document in front of airtel representative but to my suprise it again deactived after one week.Now the Airtel service executives says that i cannot get this number again and they dont know the reason of barring of my number as it not mentioned on their system. I bought the sim only one month back, have submitted the documents and also made recharges on my number. I smell something fishy as mine is a golden number and someone from airtel wants to acquire mine number..i am determined to go to consumer forum as i have all the required documents of airtel

              Today I have got missed call in my mobile no. from [protected]. And there after I call back this number & some said that I have own 25Lakh from Airtel & after that I understand this is fake call. SO I disconnected the line. After that when I am checking my account balance, it is showing low. And for this reason I am not worried.

              But one news came some times before in TOI that if anyone call that number, which begins with +92, his SIM will be cloned & all the information of subscriber mobile will be copied to that SIM, where subscriber had called. So I am very much worried about the same, because some useful personal information have in my mobile.

              So if you kindly inform me that is it possible to copy & can it be harmful for me in future, I will be obliged to you.

              Hi my name is Hanuma from Hyderabad. I have also received this kind of call on both of my Airtel mobiles. But I didn't call them them because I knew that +92 belongs to Pakistan and I don't know one there. Here one interesting thing is I didn't receive such kind of calls on other numbers me and my family using which are not Airtel numbers. Now after checking so many comments on Internet I'm getting doubt are these guys have any connection with Airtel? Because all most all of the people who received these calls in recent time are using Airtel numbers (including ported number from airtel to other networks).

                  I am using Airtel Broadband from last 2 years but from last 6 days, I am not able to use internet. I have opened 2 CSR but no one visited yet to solve the problem.

                    I am using airtel 3G dongle since last 1.5 months with recharge of 255 which gives 1 GB data with 3G speed.It was working fine for the first month.
                    When I recharged it second time with same tariff, its not working. The net connection is established but it shows speed of 1.1 Kbps - 1.6 Kbps .Also none of the page gets opened.The number is [protected].
                    I have talked to customer care as well but no solution found since 2 weeks

                    have been using vodafone(rajasthan) for past 5 years and never had a bad experienced with them. but from last two months been shifted to dehradun got an airtel connection n from the very first day it is creating a mental trouble to me...

                    1. you guys have activated the missed call alert with my permissions
                    2. setting up the gprs setting was a bit tedious task.
                    3. got 3g recharge almost 4 days back but nnot getting the desired speed.
                    4 tried so many times to customer care it got connected and suddenly call drop then you guys dont have the decency to call back again. n if i tried again it dont get connect to the customer care.
                    5 ur customer care executive have dont have the etiquette and manners to talk with the customers.

                    n seriously m very much frustrated n irritated using ur services.

                      Hi,

                      I had been an Airtel Bangalore broadband customer with clear payment history for a quite long time the telephone number being [protected], I had to discontinue as I was relocating and I asked them to disconnect the broadband service they agreed to disconnect and after six months they call me and tell that the broadband connection has not been disconnected and I have to pay the outstanding bill of 4872 , I did not even turn on the modem assuming it has been disconnected. When I refuse to pay they threaten me with legal action. I am not sure what kind of ethics these so called telecom giant is following. I am not sure if Airtel is finding this way of making money by harassing the customers easier. I have copied the text from the email I got from Airtel customer care when I requested them for a disconnection.

                        Dear Sir / Madam

                        I have a prepaid mobile number [protected] which is getting recharged quite frequently with an amount of Rs 444 or Rs 500.

                        To my surprise on Monday September 3,12 after I had recharged this mobile with Rs 444,I received a notice that unless I call *567# I will get charged
                        Rs 98 after three days for an internet package of 1 GB. I promptly did as I have no need for this but I still got charged Rs 98. I was advised of
                        this internet package charge by a SMS of Sept 7. This is completely unfair and illegal.

                        Even though I have asked the supplier Airtel to reverse this charge of Rs 98 and advise me of the same either via a SMS or e-mails I am writing this complaint because it is charge by deception. Airtel will be required to change its procedure to charge for this packaged service. Instead of charging for this service with user unaware in case the mobile is turned off ,Airtel could send a sales pitch to activate this internet package. It will then be upto the discretion of the user if one wants the service. This is to request you to enforce this.

                          Respected sir/ madam,

                          I am working in LIC of India in Amritsar. I have purchased a power plan CUG from airtel compan in 2010..
                          While selling this plan to me i was told the call rate from airtel to airtel mobile in 10 paise only.
                          Now the company is charging 20 paise call from me from airtel to airtel. My hundred of colleagues are
                          using 10 paise call facility from airtel to airtel. I have written to airtel aurthorities and they revert me
                          we have changed your plan and in this plan .20 paise call rate is available. Now yesterday
                          i have written again and they reverted the same.
                          Please help me out.

                            My name is V. das and I am using Airtel mobile since 2003. I was always having problems but some how or other I am tolerating and now it is to much. pls look into my complain. My no. [protected]. I activated Internet for the month plan on 26 August 2012, after this my balance was 558 and on 30th just after four days I found I have balance only rs 13. immediately I call to customer care and they check, hear the details and finally cut off my phone. everyday three four time I call and they just ignore me and saying that we are forwarding you to our executive head and then my phone is cutt off. On 4th September I was told that by 11 am on 6th I will get my balance back and on 7th eve I call again for five time Mr. Sanjay Mr. Ashis again hear the details of my case cheked it and finally cut off my phone saying that I forwarding ur call to executive head. And after this I call and nobody recevie my call.pls solve my problems immediately. Thanking you..

                            AirTel — wrongful deduction for VAS

                            I have been wrongfully charged the rental of VAS i had never opted for (Airtel Friendz Chat, in my instance, for which 30/- was charged from me today) and what's more, I get rudely rebuffed by their customer care exec who insist I was 'Rightly charged'!.
                            No matter how much I tried reasoning that how could a service get activated without they getting any sort of confirmation from my end, they start loosing temper and start narrating technicalities! I have even been told with a shocking audacity that I could go to any level, but I was not going to get a refund in my case! Certain VAS seem to get automatically activated and the only information we get is that my account balance has been deducted by the rental charge!

                              With utmost regrets, I am writing this complaint against such a reputed company taken as pioneer in telecom and internet provider company in India. It is indeed a surprise to note and to let it come in your notice that such a reputed company who is spending crores of rupees in getting more and more customers .Further to emphasize that I am doctor by profession involved in looking after critically ill patients and may not be able to receive call till 4:30PM , hence it is requested that any official who is deputed for the same must call me after 4:30PM the era of such a tight competition to have more customers either for land line or internet provider but when some customer reaches any of your outlets response is like as if they are saturated and don’t want any more customers. Details are enclosed as an attachment with chronological events in MS word. Last talk to customer care number[protected] on 4th February with floor supervisor Mr. Saji Floor supervisor at around 4:30PM and specifically requested to record the conversation for better services and interpretation to avoid any communication gap. After making him apprise of previous facts he gave me complaint number 42685758. ALL THE THREE CHAIRS WERE VACANT AND SOME ONE SITTING ON SOFA DID TALK TO ME NAME? I MISSED TO ASK. IMRAN WAS ONLINE AT AROUND 1:30PM AND REQUESTED HIM TO TELL ME ABOUT THE FEASIBILITY OF FAVIALABILITY OF CONNECTION. HE SAID THAT HE IS NOTING DOWN MY INFORMATION AND THAT I WILL GET RESPONSE WITHIN 72 HOURS.. I REQUESTED HIM TO PLEASSE RECORD THE CALL FOR FUTURE REFERENCE COZ THE PLAN HE TOLD ME WAS THAT AT RS.1399/- PLUS TAXES I SHALL BE GETTING 25 GB DOWNLOAD FREE WITH GAURANTEED SPEED OF 25 MBPS AFTER WHICH THE SPEED WILL DECREASE TO 256 KBPS.HE GAVE REFERNCE NUMBER AS 8985234 AND ONE MORE NUMBER WHICH I COULD NOT WRITEDOWN FOR LACK OF PEN AND PAPER.
                              3. SAME DAYON 30TH JANUARY 2011 A PERSON STATING THAT HE IS FROM AIRTELL DID COME TO MY RESIDENCE AT AROUND2:00PM AND SAID HE WILL SEE IF THE CONNECTION CAN BE GIVEN AND THAT HE WILL RETURN SOON. BUT TILL 3:11 AS I AM WRITING THIS MAIL THERE WAS NO RESPONSE AND AS HE TOLD THAT HE WILL REVERT BACK I COULDN’T ASK HIS NAME TOO.( MY FAULT).
                              IT IS SHOCKING TO LEARN THAT COMPANY OF SUCH REPUTE AAS AIRTEL ONE OF PIONEER COMPANY TO PROVIDE MOBILE IN INDIA IS NOW SO SATURATED AS TO PROVIDE ANY NEW CONNECTION AND THE SAME HAS NEVER BEEN COMMUNICATED IN ANY OF THEIR ADVERTISEMENTS RATHER ASKING TO OPT FOR CONNECTION. FURTHER THAT NOW IT IS NOW CLEAR THAT ONE CAN CHANGE THEIR OPERATOR AND SUCH KIND OF RESPONSE BY COMPANT BEASR BAD NAME IN REPUTATION OF THE COMPANY IN THE MARKET AND I THINK MARKETING/ADVERTISING INCHARGE SHOULD BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR SUCH KIND OF WRONG AND MISDIRECTING ADVERTISEMENTS.

                                Please note that I had tried to recharge my mobile number - [protected] today (7th September 2012 - Morning ) through your website https://pay.airtel.com/PrepaidOnlineRecharge/mobileRecharge.jsp.

                                The transaction failed but yet the amount was deducted TWICE from my SBI credit card - Total 900 INR. from my SBI credit Card.

                                The recharge amount for which I tried to recharge was - 3G Internet Recharge - 450 INR. But the Surprising thing is that the amount was deducted TWICE from my SBI credit card - Total 900 INR.

                                Your customer care asked me to contact the bank. I am totally confused.

                                Please do the needful to refund the amount ASAP - Kindly check the attached screenshot - of my SBI credit card transaction list for further clarification.

                                  I have a Airtel prepaid connection in the name of Kapil purohit. I am using this connection sienc 3 year & this is my no. 91-[protected].
                                  I have recharge for sms pack of Rs.85 & than company sent me a massage for auto renewal for next month, regarding this massage i called at customer care on[protected] & ask him for terminate the auto renewal he told me that just dial *110*0# , i tried several times but nothing happen.
                                  Than government ban this sms facility & after 5 days , when this ban is over, they renewed my sms pack without my permission or without any information, i called at customer care again & ask him for help but he transfer my call to senior person, & the senior person didn't pick up my phone & the same thing done by them with me 3 time in a day. than i just decided to PORT my no. to other company but after this massage customer care called me by this no.[protected] & told me that they will pay back my money in 48 hours but still they didn't pay me back my money & now they didn't accept my call.

                                      AIRTEL TELEMEDIA SERVICES — Worst services by Airtel Broadband

                                      Hello,

                                      Myself Rahul Prasad from Hyderabad, I was using AIRTEL broadband connection number[protected], Due to irregular billing pattern by Airtel Telemedia Services after first cycle even after multiple reminders to Airtel costumer care, Airtel Telemedia Services failed to provide bill for payment for 2nd and 3rd consecutive months neither by post or email, Later line was disconnected by Airtel without any information. Referring to the concern, I had written multiple emails to Hyderabad Nodal officer Mr. Vishnu after detailed telephonic conversation, I requested Mr. Vishnu to withdraw the connection completely and close account.

                                      Now, after 7 months I received a call from recovery agent to pay outstanding bill, though Airtel Telemedia Services has not yet provided any bill till date.

                                      I am willing to lodge a complain against Airtel Telemedia Service for failure of poor service and calling through recovery agents for unbilled payment recovery.
