I am writing this with high level of frustration and disappointment caused while applied for Airtel Wired Broadband connection. I would say it is probably the worst service that any ISP can provide to a consumer in this country. Lot of communication gap and false promises from their end really tested my patience.
Here is the story. I bought a new laptop and planned to take internet connection. I applied for Airtel broadband connection through online on 9th October 2012. One of the sales representatives(Abraham) called that night and he asked me for the copy of ID proof, address proof and photo. Since I was in the office I asked him to come next day. He came to my home on 10th October 2012 morning and collected all my details and I also paid Rs.1200(Plan charge 1050+Notary sign charge 150). He said someone from the technical team will be contacting me within 3 to 4 working days. Waited till 13th of October and there is no response from ISP's end. I call the customer care and they said broadband connection is not feasible and the amount paid will returned back through check within 21 working days. I got pissed off and called them again. Other call center representative's answer was different and she said the connection is feasible and she promised me that someone will be calling me on 15th of OCtober 2012. Waited till 18th of October and there was no response from their end. In between the I called the sales representative and he gave me the technical department head's number. Unable to reach the head.
Again called customer care on 18th and they gave me a different answer again. They said the connection is not possible and I got the same reply as same as the customer representative 1. Tried calling the technical head he asked me to send the application details. Sent him all the details and there is no response from him. I would have called customer care atleast 10 times and I've been getting different answers each and every time.
At last on 23rd October someone from the Airtel called me and informed that the connection is not possible because the ports are not available and they said that the money will be refunded through check.
It took almost 2 weeks for them to tell me that the connection is not possible and till date I've not received any refund from them.
Government should take strict action against these kind of ISPs for making the consumers suffer to the core.
Suggestion:- Airtel should check whether the slots are available for the internet in the consumer's area before getting money and necessary documents from the customers.

Broadband — applying broadband connection
Dear sirI am applying for airtel broadband in the mounth of august but i am not getting broadband connection due to some technical reason i am submiting my doucments and a cheque of Rs 1000 cheque is credited from my a/c cheque no.069737 till date i am not getting my cheque back i am complaintin so many times in branch office but no responce.My form no.1812560
