I have ASUS U46E laptop bought in US (BEST BUY). Last few months I have laptop hinge issue due to which the display panel (wassel) has gone bad. I had registered a complaint and the service people registered it and ordered for part from ASUS. Since the laptop was out of warranty it was informed I have to pay for it, which is fair.
Later after a month, Asus comes back to inform that the part for this laptop is not available so nothing they can do about it. The laptop is just a year old and has great configuration (i7, 8gb RAM), still asus do not have parts to this. I cannot even live with this issue as every time I have to close of open the laptop, the problem worsen.
The service regional manager does not pick my calls any more after speaking to me once in the initial days.
I have used laptops from Dell and HP, this was my first encounter with Asus and they really are bad. Dell and HP are clear differentiators when it comes to customer service and support.
