[Resolved]  Calcutta Telephones — Telephone "dead", docket no:"alive"

My telephone number 22701442 is completely dead. It has been a week since i had launched a complain and my docket number is W545 which is still alive. I am putting forward my complain for "early" action.

My wife's telephone number[protected] is completly dead seince 5 days and my docket number is F 15194, which is still alive. So I am foroward my complain to take necessary action as soon as possible.

Madam / Sir,

Since morning of 7th September 2009 my telephone, bearing no.[protected] is not working and remains absolutely dead. On the same day, i.e.7th of September 2009, I have lodged my complaint through your Automatice Fault Booking Services and received a Docket No.G-3356, dt.[protected]. It is most unfortunate for me to mention that I am really disgusted for not getting the corrective action, nor any communication / physical presence of your concerned technical personnel at my residence on this matter even after lapse of four days at a stretch.
Please note that if things go like this, I am sorry to say that I shall have no other option but to think to surrender this land line connection.
I need your active and conducive intervention in this matter immediately.

My telephone no. 25443585 is out of order since a long time. I had tried to make a complaint through 198 and 25442189. Unfortunately, after I am giving the no. to the automatic fault control system, the same is keeping silent and no docket no. is generating. I am a heart specialist and my patients are in difficulty to contact me. I had also written in this website about my difficulty on 13.10.09. But so far no action has been taken. I request the phone authorities to look into the matter and restore my line immediately.

I am sorry to say that, Calcutta Telephones Authorities are taking any initiative to restore my phone no. 25443585. This telephone is very very important.

But, why the authorities are not taking interest in restoring the line is beyond my imagination.

The exchange people should know as there is an automatic system for recognizing which is no. is not working. I hope, the bill will be reasonable.

But till date it has been un attended.We know you have lot of presure top restore the all faulty lines, but please look into this call sympathytically because my father (Mr.Arun Banerjee) is 78 yrs old and also became physicaly handicapped due to his age.My mother is also 71 yrs old.Both are do not know how to operate the cell phone.In this situation we wold request your personal intervention in this matter.

My phone[protected] with broadband connection went dead on 28.10.08 around 12 p.m. I promptly lodged a complaint for this. But, when even almost 24 hours later it was not repaired, I called the local exchange and talked to Mr. Debnath who was very rude and said 'We are not sitting here listen to your complaints.' Anyway, he also mentioned that his guys were out there with the list of faulty telephones. Till 3 p.m. my phone was not repaired and so I again called Mr. Debnath who then was even more abusive and even refused to tell me whether my telephone number was at all on that day's repairing list and disconnected the call abruptly. Calcutta telephones is an organization who cann't even provide a flawless service to the customers but also have such employees like Mr. Debnath who are abusive to customers and is a shame to their own organization.

My phone which is also having broadband facility went dead on 29.10.2009. My phone no. is 24426205. I made a complaint for same vide docket no.N 1551 on 29.10.09 itself as along with my phone the internet also went dead. The phone along with the internet line was restored on 20.11.2009, hence i want rebate for my rental for phoneline as well as on the fixed charges which i am paying for broadband facility.

Calcutta Telephones — Not providing broadband link of (033)24284627 till installation on 24/10/09

My old no was[protected]. It has been shifted to new address, Q-37,Kamdahari Purbapara,Gitanjali,Fl.No.5,2nd Floor,Kolkata-700084 on 24/10/09. I have applied for shifting on 16/09/09 and the actual shifting was done on 24/10/09 and that too after lot of persuation. But I have not been provided the broadband link which I was enjoying earlier. Interestingly enough, I have been given new user i.d.,and password over telephone. But actual link remained elusive. Complaints by e-mail to [protected]@dataone.in bounces back each time and complaints to helpline 1504 generates only ornamental docket number followed by a ritualistic reply 'Dear Customer Your Circuit 24284627 has been restored' in the afternoon. But none contacts me, neither any action is taken against several complaints.

My land telephone has been lying dead for a week ( from 24. 11. 09 till date)
