we were allotted a 3 bhk residential flat in CGEWHO AVADI phase 1 in 2005.we trusted them becos, the brochure said the construction will supervised by indian army officials.we were promised that handing over the flat wud be in 2.5 yrs.we borrowed money from banks and paid installment at right time. i hoped that when the flat was done in 2.5 yrs , we may get rent so that repaying the loan from the bank wud be easier for us.but, the construction is not still complete.handing over the key has nt still happened.no army officials took responsiblity,i guess.
but the cost escalation of the flat happened, due to cost escalation of construction materials.we paid that too.if the residential construction was over by time or even a year after that, we wud nt had to pay that extra 2 -3 lakhs. all the compliants, dharna we did us some good, that in dec 2011, a central minister came to hear our complaints and made the cgewho official+ construction contractor(culprits to the core) to promise to hand over our flats on pongal 2012.i.e jan 14-2012
pongal 2013 has also passed ,still we havent recvd our flat.when we went to see our completed flat in august 2012,the construction and finishing were of terrible quality.bathroom fixtures were/still are of cheap quality. to see our first house to be of this quality ,it really made us feel sick.was painful. with patience we noted all the repair works including seepage in a bedroom from above flats bathroom.with just 8-10 amatuer labourers ,repair works started for about more than 500 flats, the supervisor asked us to be patient for our turn.we thought we should understand that guys position, waited thinking that 'already ,we had waited for so long, just this waiting is just a matter of a week or so'.
we were told that only under personal supervision ,these guys work , otherwise they are nt really concerned to get it done.so we sent our electrician who is our well wisher and a nice guy, to be present there and get them work. these labourers played tricks with this guy by talking over the cell phones instead of working, absconding after lunch break.when he asked they all fought with him,behaved badly and chased him away.we felt bad for this guy and we apologised for things happened.
one fine day th supervisor called us and informed that repair work has been done,we cud come anytime to check(still the keys are with them).
on feb 14 th when we called to inform him, we were shocked to hear that they all are in strike against CGEWHO + contractor for not giving their salary. hence he will not come to the site to open our flat.when we asked what we shud now, he asked us to complain it to the authorities and wait till the strike is over. we got news that authorities were going meet with these ppl on the following monday ,so strike will be over on that monday. but nope.it didnt happen that way, today morning we called the supervisor,got informed that the strike is still continuing. this is the prize for patience.
DONT BUY FLATS FROM CGEWHO.none will come to support u. none will give a damn to you.you will get letters saying that you got to pay so much amount towards your so,so installment, i[censored] fail to pay it by this so,so date, 15% interest will be charged extra. but nobody is cared about loss of 5 yr rent and 5 yr late delivery of a flat. I M SURE THE MONEY, THE CONTRACTOR MADE OUT OF THIS PROJECT WILL EITHER BE OF NO GOOD TO HIM OR HE WILL USE IT FOR TREATING SEVERE AILMENTS(LIKE CANCER,KIDNEY DISEASES) OF HIM,HIS DEPENDANTS.
