[Resolved] Cognizant Technology Solutions — does not release offer letter after selected interviews and sending joining documents

Cognizant is the most unprofessioanl company I have ever gave interview to.
I have over 6 years of experience in IT industry.

I was selected in the interview after two rounds of interview with them
The second round was with the delivery manager and he was so impressed with me that he wanted my HR round to be completed immediately.
On the same day HR called me and asked me to send all the joining related documents.
I sent it and a month passed after.
Out of curiosity I mailed the HR stating that I did not hear from them for a month .
the HR mails and says that my candidature is not taken forward as there is no fitment!

What the hell do they mean my fitment?
Why in the first place did they ask me to sit for the interview and select me.
It would have been better if they would have rejected me in the beginning.
You say that u are impressed and then ask me to send all the joining related docs on the same day to haste things and then suddenly say Thank You after a month..all the best for your future.

Dhanalakshmi is the HR who sent this and the DM is Venugopal who took my interview in the second round.

Anybody appeared for 29th November drive at Cognizant Pune? Did the HR speak to you ?? What was the feedback ? Not sure what is the issue in being transparent with the candidate...putting people on hold is a lose lose situation for everybody..dnt you agree guys??

CTS, i was cleared both appti and technical round, after HR round they simply said u can leave for d day, they didn't say anything like wait for mail...
so now i m totally confused, plz help me to clear my confusion.

Cognizant is really a bad company, they do waste the time of people, most of the time ...unprofessional behavior, I am also a victim of such unprofessional behavior of them,

The Hiring Process in Cognizant

Examine Background: An independent agency conducts a detailed educational and personal background check on candidates of interest before the offer made.

So, I want to know Why Cognizant release the offer before examine the background checking...

CTS does not update on the progress or feedback on the interview, which eventually isnt a transparent selection process.
A candidates who clears all the rounds being said that HR will contact them, and no HR contact of any feedback being provided.
Such selection process keeps candidates in confusion state and also doesnt provide a chance of improvement as well.
CTS should keep a more transparent selection process as it has a good name in market. which is eventually getting faded due to such inappropriate selection process.

Hey guys,

I had a very bad experience with the HR in the Cognizant Technology Solutions in Pune.

I came for interview on 1/8/2015 at ICC TECH PARK for the position of ETL Tester. However the HR 'Mayuri Kulkarni' who is taking care of the interview pattern told me that only the persons who are confirmed through email are allowed for the interview. However, i have a reference from the congnizant employee and he told me that the interview is walk-in and no need for scheduling and i discussed the same with 'Mayuri Kulkarni' but she is not convinced and in addition she started behaving so rude to me.

I am really upset with the behaviour of the HR 'Mayuri Kulkarni'. I just want to share my feelings with you guys.

With me same experience.

After clearing the all rounds, HR contacted me and shared the salary breakup details and asked me to accept it that I was accepted on same day and she was promised me she will released the final offer next day by EOD.

but now it's more than one month I did not receive any mail or offer from them.

I am trying to contact but not getting any proper response.

Yes Its true. They should be careful about this.

I think they will conduct interview not for hire purpose always. Same happened with me as well. Cleared all round then no call. But I took it normal. My suggestion to you that don't bother about the company who will not provide value of your knowledge. There are many more who will give value for you. Look at me even though they did not call, I don't bother 'much and got offer from another.

As per my view the labour law should be strict enough to stop those which unfortunately not there in India.

Don't think much . If you are really knowledgeable you will get your destination.

I too had the same experience recently .
I went to CTS cts pallikaranai chennai and after few technical & HR discussion, and I got selected .after few days i received some mail for fill some forms and photos upload, and my HR said CTS will release offer within few days.
till now one month is over and still I am waiting for offer letter.

Same happened with me. I was interviewed on 18th and was promised to receive the offer letter in a week time. Its been more than 2 weeks and no communication from their side, Not sure if I should wait for the offer letter or not
