Fiat Motors — DEFECTIVE CAR SOLD
This is with reference to the purchase of a Grand Punto Emotion Diesel from Automobile Sterling, Noida(U.P) in the name of my wife Neha Maheshwari I purchased this car on the 7th January from this place and since then it has been a frustrating experience for me. I have faced numerous problems with the car and have been harassed by the staff and the management of the above showroom.I have in the past also filed complaints against the management and the service standard (please see mail below) and after some pressure from the side of Fiat India some actions were taken but some problems still remain.I wish to list the different problems that had been faced by me immediately after purchasing the car.
1.The driver seats make continuous screeching noise, while driving or while making any movement.
2. The ac panel’s bulb was fused
3. The AC cool and hot rotor switch was not working
4. Only the side AC vents were giving cool air and the main vents were just giving blower air.
5. The panel covering the fuse box was broken
6. There is a cut mark on the steering wheel
7. There was a cut mark on the chrome on the hand brake
8. The “I” from the emotion label was missing
Out of the above issues most of the issues still remain, wheras new problems have come up.
The service centre kept telling me for eight months that they have repaired the driver seat and it will not make noise but after every service it would start making the noise again. I must have given the car for this reason atleast 5 times.Finally the service centre told me that the seat has a defect and needs to be repaired and they told me that it is not available right now and will contact me once it is available. Its been more than a month and I havent heard anything back from the service centre.
The Car AC was not working as it didnt have GAS. Now I wish to know which new car doesnt have a working AC.
The hot and cooling rotor switch has again stopped working.
The car makes heavy noise when it is turned or a U-Turn is taken, I was told that it has been taken care of but nothing has been done.
Last time the Fiat office had me and an executive from Automobile sterling on conference and the Fiat office asked the executive to take care of these issues, but I heard nothing from the Automobile sterling executive.
It has been a very very dissapointing experience for me. I my last 10th months I have continously visted the service center without getting a proper solutions. This totally endorses the belief people have about the bad after sales service of TATA/FIAT. I wanted to buy Linea, but the kind of horrible experience I have had I have decided not to make that mistake and have also persuded other people not to buy Fiat Cars.
This is my last request to Fiat to please look into the above issues and please provide me with a solution to my problems otherwise I'm left with no option but to file a complaint with consumer court as I have been very very frustrated by the treatment given to me.
